I was hopeful there might be an easier way for Hordies, but, looks like Imma have to get a little more cozy with the ally on my server lol

Eh it's just a buff they stay with, IF folks make a huff about it, it will either be removed (the buff) & it'll be a regular ol' northrend worg, or they'll let folks keep it, who knows. Grats on folks who get theirs.

The whole thing really reminds me of the ghostwolf, so my guess is that Blizz will fix it but let people who have it keep it. But we can never be sure.

But I'm not going to get one because even though it looks cool I could never get over the fact that my poor pet is drenched in oil. D:

yeah either which way if they fix em and they go normal, or if u have one you get to keep it ( ie like ghost wolf) still cool to have for the time being

i sero-ously hope i'm getting to keep her no-one is going to take silhouette away!

Ok ive done about 20 odd goes at this using haste pots and not i wait until 6 secs left on frost trap teh ally is as far away from teh wolf as it can be and im either getting it despawning or like 0/1 sec before despawning i have like 9% haste and i ditch my baby spirit bear so anyone got any other hints?

(though before teh flames hit me! teh bear is always there on my realm just waiting for me)

After figuring out the timing - right about 7 seconds (and after I stopped failing by throwing the meat after the wolf was trapped), we finally got my hubby his unique lil' wolf, Shadow!!! It took about 10 times for us to get the timing right and such, but he thinks it was worth it to be unique.

I think I still have the quest, if anyone on Dawnbringer needs help. I can't tame - no pet slots open - but I can help y'all <3

Wouldn't it be obvious if you asked in trade if someone hasn't done "Lupus Pupus"? Guess one would ask: "Someone who hasn't completed all of the Borean Tundra quests" maybe.

DONT WASTE MONEY ON POTS!

set trap
shoot
once trapped, be about 10-20 feet away from wolf
wait until 7-9 seconds let (depending on haste, trial and error is the way to go here)
throw bait, hit tame beast immediately

adjust accordingly, it took me about 15 tries to get it right.

Make sure to watch the trap tick down on the mob too, helps. I hit mine at about 7 O clock (if you think of the timer as a clock dial)

grats on your oily wolfies - I've been asking in /who borean tundra, several have done the quest or don't have time to help. 'sigh'

Hey Tilo, I still have the quest meats if you want me to help you. I will be gone until about Sunday afternoon, however, as the hubby and I are going out of town for little bit.

ah thank you much for the offer I'd have to bounce one of my exotics for it, so was considering Steamwheedle Cartel instead, where my other hunter is at, whom' has an extra slot for such an oily gooey wolfy ^^ Regardless thanks though for the offer

So what is the best strat to getting this wolf?

hunter= set trap a few paces away. quest person(desnt matter if hunter is horde or alliance) stand a pace or two back form the trap. and uses the meat. wolf is pulled, into the trap. i started the tame around 8.5 seconds left but thats doing it as a lvl 73 with almost no haste. takes some trial and error but you will get it dont worry.
