so in cata the crab wont be tameable?

In Cata the crab is tameable, it's a rare Spirit Beast.

It was tamed in the first post of this thread....

I checked it out in Java, which also had the model animation... Just, whoa.

Oh yeah, very impressive indeed. Just a blank black window and an entirely black screen when attempting to see it in Java that requires a hard reboot of the system. Good job Wowhead.

The blue shiny model looks more like a placeholder than the green crab did. The best SB models are still Loque and Skoll. The see through ones are lame. I don't wanna see glowing eyes showing through my pet's butt.

Pleasure for hunters to kill it. Over and over again...

Anyway :O) May I ask what addon you got for all those pet info (on second screenshot)?

Good luck with that one. I daresay this is one of the rare mobs that will be easier to tame than to kill.

Just logged on and found Ghostcrawlers new facelift as well. Tamed him a few days ago. At least he looks a little better than before.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE he's TEENY!!!!! CUTE!!! Definitely the smallest spirit beast thus far.

Glad to see he got his new skin It looks like a ghostly version of DeepSeaCrabBiolucentBlue, which isn't used in the game, but kinda looks like the basis for the biolucent markers in other deep sea crabs.

Not a fan of Gondria, eh? Neither am I, for the same reason, but the crab eyes don't appear to be nearly as bad.

Its the only SB that does not look like a pile of dog poo IMO.

Now that's a shiny Spirit Beast! lol I'm not a fan of the transparent "Spirit Beasts". But I have Arturis. And I do want this crab "Spirit Beast". I really like how shiny it is. I can't get over that. And it's the 1st Spirit Beast to "break the mold" with its eyes and mouth (they aren't blue, glowing light bulbs).

Kallimon will definitely be hitting 85 solely for that guy. Tell me this isn't a perfect SB for a troll!

Wow.. ok.. its less.. ghostly as the other spirit beasts which is nice. Its kinda neat looking.. it in BW scared me though with the red eyes lol.
Its.. kinda cute. Still wont stop me from taming him though
I wound if they will add more to him, more texture. I am happy for no see through pet but a little more touches would be neat ^.^

Are you referring to the pics in my original post, or the proper skin that came out later and is in later posts? I haven't updated my OP yet (though I should), but he certainly looks very ghostly now
