I'm not personally in favor of declawing but that's just me in my house - I've volunteered at cat shelters, and basic love and kindness matter much more to me. As long as I see that people love their pets and cover the basics (love, enough food, willing to pay basic medical bills, etc), then that's what matters. I mean who's better off, the cat with claws and no home, or the one with no claws and a warm place to stay where people love her.
That's the reason I finally stopped volunteering there - the people were SO protective that the cats just piled up due to so few adoptees being considered "acceptable".

Agree with Worba on the declawing, but I mean... It's one of those things where'd I'd give my points against it, and then let it drop. (which I will do now

) As to the other stuff.. I really dislike people with elitest pet attitudes. Some people have views which just.. really don't mesh with practical experience. I've had people criticize my terrarium sizes. But the one is small cause he's handicapped. Yes, he gets around well enough, but he does still fall a lot, and he definitely couldn't use certain aspects of most terrariums, as he has no claws, and few sticky toes (I was the 3rd rescue home). The other.. Yes, I have a community tank with 3 females. It's an 18x18x24. yes, it IS big enough. Especially since the decoration provides for distinct territories.. so shhhhh.

My gm from my guild where most of my friends are and leader of the community I raided with for nearly two years, has removed me from the community forums plus all the class forums apart from hunter, even though my main char is a druid and the hunter I left in the guild to not completely leave it. To clarify, I currently reside in the States since July and will be till february. Due to time difference on my European realm, I can't raid with them, so I left the guild on my druid to join a late-night active guild on my server, which allows me to raid casually and not fall too far behind.
So, even though she knows I love the community and will return when I'm back, she made it clear that I'm no longer a part of it. Which is her good right but... we're all a bunch of friends and get on well, I am reading up on all the news, I posted in the afk thread whenever I had more info about when they can expect me back...
But for a long time, she had issues with me. She only plays with guildies, and I have friends across the server, I camp and rehome rares, and she never understood why I'd rather sit in the Storm Peaks helping someone I barely knew, instead of doing a heroic. So she understood it as "you don't care about the guild, so you don't like us". I don't think I ever managed to get my point across...
I'm just sad to be pushed out... it wasn't necessary.

Ugh. That sort of thing is why I'm guild-shy. I always end up in one sooner or later, but I'm insistent right up front about doing my own thing most of the time.
I understand people (correctly) viewing that as not contributing anything to pugs or raids, but OTOH it's not like there's a limit on how many people can be in the guild and you're preventing a hardcore raider from joining up either, you know? Why do people have to make things so deadly serious...

Yeah, but I love my guilds. I might not do my heroic everyday, but I do other things with guildies. I just keep in touch with people I come across, some I since I started playing now, and I love this social aspect of the game. And, I raid, give my best, don't get locked out, donate stuff... I think the main thing is that once you're not part of a team, in wow, you're just a number again, not a person. Something like that...
And yes, sometimes people take things too serious...

Yeah. I'm just saying even if you never pug or raid, it doesn't cost the guild anything to have you there, so as long as you're at least a nice person who treats the other guildies with kindness and respect, I don't see why they have to kick you. Meh.

Besides, you ARE contributing to the guild... every quest you do gives points to the guild. it's not like your leeching off the guild.
My guild is basically just me, my hubby and a pair of friends, along with all our alts. I'd be MORE than happy to bring new people into the guild, but everyone who asks always wants to do raids and PvP and all the stuff neither myself, nor the other three members of the guild, are interested in.
Hell, I got our guild to level 4 all on my own (the other couple were away from the game for a long time).

Fuckin hell....
I've never seen someone so unfuckinggrateful! >/
So what if the Anons gifted you lots of white bugs? Be fucking happy you got them, asshole. They're free gifts! Very beautifully sprited, by the way. Seriously, I'm insulted cause I was one of those anons that gave you one. I'll remember that when I gift like a maniac during Christmas time. I aint giving you anything.

Why is it whenever I actually am not an Insomniac, things I actually need DROP, and I am sleeping...and then when I go to raids, NOTHING I need drops..

I am a bit depressed. I submitted some art for a pokemon site art job request, a month after the submission I re-emailed them to inquire when I might hear back, they responded that they were currently busy with another project and would get back to me about it when they got to that project.
Well, I just got an email from them about my application. I didnt get the job. Normally that wouldnt be a problem or make me depressed. It was the reason they gave for declining my submissions that I found somewhat offensive.
"Inconsistent style"
If they'd inquired about the different art styles I would have been happy to inform them that the reason the art styles were different in the 5 submissions was to give them a selection and idea of what art styles I can do...but to not be selected because I gave them several styles to look at...nothing in the application said the styles had to be the same!

We are on recess ffs, leave me the fuck alone. I don't give a shit that we have a presentation after the break, I am ready. My breaks, my me-time. Go away. You can bugger me all you want during class, so I don't have to stare out in the air boring my ass off.

Sigh. I am very sick and tired of the near to constant disappointments. I get my hopes for something? Well something else came up and it cant happen. I look forwards to something as simple as a conversation the next day? And instead I am either barely getting responses or something else comes up. Something awesome happens, and I find out I am going to be on the wrong side of the states. Again.
Three (four? Fuck I dont even know) years I am "supposedly" most/more important. Yeah....whatever you say..

Aww that sucks

Don't let it dishearthen you about your work. It's great to be able to do a selection of styles. But, with job applications, I ran into the same things, and the worst is, you can't really defend yourself. Only when it's too late. *hugs* Keep going!
