Also new gene!... I don't like it.
I saw a few nice combos (mostly light brown/beige or blue colors) that look nice with it. For the most part I am not big on it. It looks like it will need some very careful planning to pull off. very situational since the color, breed and gene have to be just right to make it look nice. has some nice potential but I would have personally preferred the dapple. I will still have to keep my eye out for one of the nicer combos to add to my lair.

They actually have already hatched

Underbelly covers the new gene. Some combos are nice but most just look like weird wrinkles to me...

Anyone offering good deals on scatter scrolls or iri/shim?
I want to scatter my progenitor, but the prices are so high for a crap shoot. D:
For iri shim, I have a triple banana coatl gal who has basic genes and my dream is to give her iri/shim. So far I just can't make that dream happen.

Was looking at the ripple gene, and initially it looked really neat...but after viewing more and more dragons with it...it's pretty lack-luster...kinda tappers off towards the hindquarters, underbelly covers it, which loses half the appeal of the gene it really is more like an accent... I will probably get one ripple scroll just have a dragon with it, but I'd rather see that leopard shark like gene come out.

this!! to me its more like an accent and very swing and miss.... viewed all my none iridecent dragon with it and none of them are getting it

Yeah I don't know how to feel about ripple either. It looks neat on some colours but as was said, it's kind of boring overall and doesn't affect the tail much. Don't think I'll get much of it.
That said, I'm tempted to get it for Varenaxx, my progen. It looks amazing on goldenrod tundras imo, plus males have their tails hidden behind them so you can't see that it's untouched

I'm happy to see Ripple partially for the variation (more genes are NEVER a bad thing) and partially because it's subtle, and people have been asking for that for a long time! ...Of course, now those people are complaining that it isn't noticeable enough (what do you think subtle means??) but that's how people are.
I have two dragons that I know are getting it. ...Admittedly one of those dragons doesn't exist yet.

I did find one dragon that I do like the new gene on...though part of that has probably got to do with the accent it has on as well...This is NOT my dragon! But I wouldn't mind trying to re-create it. I've also whispered the creator of the accent to see if there is a way to buy one from them, since none are on the AH.

Oh Makoes!! That dragon is gorgeous. o.O I love ripple on it, especially combined with that accent.
Overly, I'm not in love with the new gene, but I'm thrilled to see more variety. And I think for some specific dragons it could work really well. Fleshy, watery, tree-y... I'm interested in seeing what people come up with.

Minimum dragon price is up to 11k, take care if you've got hatchlings around that price range!
In fact, take care with dragons at all this evening. It's time for the big push and I have a feeling prices are going to skyrocket.

Woot! One of my triple Caribbean twins sold today so I could grab my next lair expansion. Nowwww just to save up for the white or blue cape... -keeps trying both on her progen-

Do you guys know what the chance of getting a ripple hatchling would be if one of the parents was speckle? I'm thinking about it,but 50/50 on the gene. I like it on blues, obs, and some browns.

The higher the price on the scroll, sometimes the less chance of it showing up against a cheaper one like speckle. That's just how I see it though; my dragons that are speckle produce a lot more speckle babies when paired up against Tiger and especially Clown. Or i just have really bad RNG and it really is a 50/50 ratio.

Here's a quote from a site that does FR statistics!
"Ripple is a rarer gene than the other treasure primary genes.
Based on some previous research it looks like the previous existing treasure genes will show up ~30% of the time when bred against a basic-primary dragon, ~50% of the time against each other, and ~88% against iridescent.
Our new Highly Official study has ripple showing up only 10% against basic, 25% against other treasure genes, and ~73% against iridescent. (n=60)"

o.0 I keep hearing about the big dominance pushes and how organized they are but I have never taken notice of them. are they seriously that intense?
in other news- I personally never really asked for a subtle gene so I am not amazed by the new one. it does look very nice on that wild claw but I think its the accent talking too. I think the two breeds that can really show it off are wildclaws and most of all (due to pose and fur) male tundras. they look rather nice with it. Other than that I don't know. I may become more fond of it if boosts the price of my future dragons but I honestly think it should have been a tert.

Oh this one was down to the wire and I applaud Plague for being one hell of an opponent. Fire had lead most of the weak, then plague fought back with a vengence, had lead most of the last day....and fire was struggling at the end but at the last millisecond, fire became victorious! Babies in the AH were roughly staying 10k....and there were 70 pages of it.....now there is only 1 page. XD That might tell ya how tough it was at the end.
