Is it just me or do the 5th gen pokemon have some insanely high level requirements for evolution?

Take the new Pseudo for example:

Form 1 -> Form 2 (lvl 50!) Form 2-> Form 3 (lvl 64 !!!!!!!!)

This thing has dethroned Dragonite and Tyranitar for highest level required for evolution!

Second highest is the new Fire/Bug hybrid requiring lvl 59!

I knooooow. ;_;

Kojofu requires level 50 to evolve into Kojondo! Blehh. It's going to be tough to carry that little guy all the way there. Though it'll be worth it, considering its great stats, not to mention how pretty Kojondo is.

I always thought my Butterfree evolved too early, I think it'll be neat when they require a bit of a higher level.

that was the great thing about buterfree and beedril, that you could get them really early in the game. But yeah, some of them have a long way to go before evolution!
Though I am glad that most of the ones I have evolve around lv 20.
Well, guess you really have to work at it now to get the Pseudo's!

Monozu though is found on victory road, so I am assuming to catch one in the wild, it'll be quicker for its first evolution...it's only if you hatch and raise one that it will take a long time!

(pokemon B&W came out in japan on the 18th)

Beat the third gym, it was pretty easy...then again, I've never really found bug type to be much of a chellange...Magna's haracross excluded (that things evil!!)
Now I am wondering around a desert, in some ruins, fighting the sarcophagus' pre-evs, baby crocs, and the occasional native-bird-thingy.
pretty soon I will have to choose between the "Shell fossil" and the "Wing fossil"...aka the turtle and the feathered dino pokemon...hmmm I like both!!!!

Huh...looks like you can tweak things in the game if you have access to High Link.

Completing missions in High Link gets you a currencey used to purchase Powers.

These Powers can be used to change aspects of the game. They each come in 3 levels.

Encounter Power +: Increases Wild Pokemon encounter rate

Encounter Power -: Decreases Wild Pokemon encounter Rate

Hatching Power: Decreases steps needed to hatch eggs

Happiness Power: Happiness increases faster

Discount Power: 10%, 20% or 50% discounts on Pokemart items

HP Power: Pokemon regain HP gradually

PP Power: Pokemon regain PP gradually

Exp Power +: Pokemon gain more EXP

Exp Power -: Pokemon gain less Exp

Money Power: Money gained increased

Capture Power: Increased chance of successful capture

sounds like it'd be really awsome...if I could understand the japanees text to use highlink lol!!

Decided to go with the wing fossil, since that pokemon is more suited to my style, fast and strong, where as the turtle is high def/atk, very low spd.

I think the reason i have a hard time with some bug pokemon is that I play the card game as well, and in the card game bugs are Grass type, and grass=weak to fire...but bugs arent weak to fire like grass so it scews me up on the GB games.
and then haracross is bug/fighting which...is evil...fighting pokemon are evil!!

Well, appearently my fire type moves aren't the right type that bugs are weak to...
Flamethrower on a grass pokemon, bye-bye grass, flamethrower on same lv bug pokemon...nope he's still got almost all health...I have the oddest experiences with things like that...

Correction on the second battle: You very BARELY won XD I would've won if I had used Fly on your darn Heracross! Argh! XD But seriously, it was a REALLY close battle. Noctowl vs Heracross. My Noctowl survives Close Combat.. But then the sandstorm from my Tyranitar's ability knocked her out. As much as I love her moveset.. Sometimes I think I should really get a move that doesn't require a turn of setup XD (She has Fly, Hypnosis, Dream Eater and Roost. Maybe I'll drop Fly for Air Slash.... *Shrug*)

Very true! Not to mention strewn with "WTF" moments. .. I seriously have NO idea how my Suicune survived a Thunder Fang from Klaww when she was already at less than half health. I honestly have no idea how that happened. XD

Ugghh I hate Life Orbs. I just cannot see ANY good in them. Cause either I get my butt handed to me on Wi-Fi by a Pokemon with a Life Orb, or I use it and I STILL get my butt handed to me because my Pokemon keeps taking damage. This is why I stick to a Spell Tag for my Umbreon, since I'd rather not have to use Moonlight every few turns to heal her >.>

Oh yeah, that reminds me... In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, I have a tendancy to get Pokemon and name them after characters from whatever Pokemon (Or even NON-Pokemon) story I'm working on or whatever. So, natually, I wanted to have the Eeveelutions of Doom in that game. Didn't have Glaceon at the time for some reason I cannot remember.. but I had Umbreon and Espeon (Bet you can guess their names!) and I had gone into a dungeon. A dungeon called Shimmer Hill. ... It's the one dungeon where you can find and recruit a certain space virus Legendary. ... And I didn't even realize it til I stumbled upon the darn thing! ... Irony much? XD
