I think the AH one does have a lot of benefits. You don't have to worry about sorting through Exalted dragons (they used to have an option to exclude them in search results, not sure why they got rid of that), and being able to choose eye colours alone (as mentioned) is very handy!

Plus I can see it being nice for browsing if you don't have something specific in mind, but perhaps you have a few traits you prefer. I might choose to filter dragons with an obsidian primary and see what sort of varieties are currently for sale.

It's not groundbreaking compared to the Search option, but it does allow a bit more convenience. :)

Anyone?

I need to now add though that I cannot edit it in any way because my art program has corrupted, making it impossible to save as anything besides a PSD file :/

you can click on that "generate code" button on the dragons page then copy/paste that on here (then make it all one line! rather then the 3) and it will show pic and link back to the hatchling.

Alternatively, you can just right click the dragon's picture "copy image url" and past that between the tages.

it is a pretty little hatchling though, they probably used the "eternal youth" scroll on it. :D

I just SS'ed that when I was bonding with his familiar. For some reason he displays as a baby for me still.

And thank you for the compliments on him.

*ponders* I'd not thought of crackle on him. My original plan was speckle /eye spot /gembond. I shall think this through more.

He does look cool like this.

 At the old babies. I've seen a few of mine hit a week old and still be babies but they've never gone past nine days.

Side note: I still don't see the new search options in the AH. Am I the only one?

Nope. I don't see them either. I might clear my cache and cookies, though.

Hmm I guess the changes to the AH will lessen the amount of people asking if my "dragon is for sale"

And that is nothing but a good thing!

I think they took them down and they're getting them worked on tomorrow during downtime so they're stable.

Has everyone seen this? If not, you should go check it out.

It's about this years Familiars retiring or not.

I'm honestly a bit upset they'd even consider such a thing. The Familiars are very popular and tend to go up in worth pretty quickly once retired. This means that newbies have a pretty good chance at having something that's worthwhile in investing in with their first festival! Sure, it might take a little while for the worth to go up.. But that's how its supposed to be.
If the items have a chance of popping up again in december, then there would really be no incentive for any one to buy the familiars that people have held onto.

I dunno, maybe that's just me. :c

I personally prefer the Dec thing. It sucks to miss something because of real life. I have had too many bad experiences from stuff being retired in WoW that I've come to despise it in games in general.

I'd want a chance at familiars since I didn't get to have a fire familiar. The newbie window opened in October, right after the fire festival. :/ So I missed my own flight's festival cause they didn't open the window til after.

Despite only joining in April, I'd actually prefer them to keep things the same. You can still get the sprites/apparel on the AH, it just takes effort. So I don't really see all the fuss (and there has been a LOT of it on tumblr). I've been working my way through festival items I missed. I missed Shadow's festival? It just meant I saved up a bit to buy the sprite/apparel. Did the same for plague stuff. Now I'm working on fire. Got the forge tools, waiting a bit longer on the sprite because I kinda like having money again more. :-p

So yeah, I dunno. I'd just rather they leave it. -shrugs- I mean...I think there should be items and stuff that people have to work to achieve and get for special occasions.

...Crud. On a different note. Seems all dragon bios were erased. -whimpers- I hope they come back. Please come back. I knew I should have made sure I'd saved them all in Word or something. :(

Yeah, me too. :/ "Oops, can't connect this week? TOO BAD. Hope you enjoy being gouged out the nose for it."

If my save you mean pay a million gold to get it cause people are gouging? No thanks. I refuse to let someone be greedy and gouge me to fill their pockets.

Fair enough. I just wouldn't get it then. -shrug- To me they're just pricing limited items and I'm just not bothered by it. Marketplace items supposed to be available? Yeah. Retired items, makes sense to me. Pretty much all games have it so it never bothers me. Would that cranial hornhelm or cloudy wings be awesome? You bet ya. Not the game's fault I wasn't there though.

Editing myself after more reading...I can't really say I'm against the December event idea as a whole. I enjoy the festivals as is, but if the December one isn't just passing them out, well then I'm not against having a 'second try' each year/so on. I'd have loved a more detailed info post on the survey, and so linger in 'leave it alone' until I hear more. I'm okay with limited items and I enjoy having things to work toward each festival. There has to be things to work for because treasure is so easy to get.
