I don't think it's so much the difficulty but more the fact it costs shit-tons of real money (gems) to even get a "plan" to do a skin or accent. That's why I've never bothered, I don't want to spend the money.

I'm not trying to get any important info! Don't worry. I'm just SUPER CURIOUS because Lightweavers two dragons have left her account and are not on Shadowbinder's account! I'm assuming this board titled "Something is missing" with Lightweaver is her posting about it.
I kinda really want to see what its all about xD
If it's something to do with plans though, please don't post those and just say that you can't tell us x3 Again, not trying to pull important information.. I'm just dying to see what Lightweaver is saying about her 'guests' leaving ;D

There's a Light vs. Shadow dominance happening in a couple week's I've been hearing, and two of Lightweaver's dragons are in Shadowbinder's lair so I think they're starting to do the occassional dominance war between flights in a roleplaying style between the two chosen flights

Kinda tempted to make an accent for my ridgeback, who's based on my SR4 boss/hommie. But I don't want to spend money on gems. Maybe I'll toss some hatchlings on the ah for a while?

And what's a good way to earn treasure these days? My hatchlings don't ever seem to be cool enough to sell much. :/
I did find an unhatched ice egg. A part of me really wants to open it and a part of me realizes I should just sell it. I do Coli now and then, but it tends to time out a lot. The games are alright even if they seem to lag out or crash pretty often, too.

depending on the ah flux you can get about 200 gems or around 50k plus for an egg and ambush. if you got a lvl 25 team colisium is good money if you make sure you not just auto sell everything but check the ah price for it
some apparel sells quite good as does some materials, trinkets and familiars. The gem ratio seams to be at 1:350 atm so always make sure that you get atleast that amount of treasure for your items.. if not.. sell for gems instead and sell those gems later on
