I'm wondering what would be the most lucrative choice for whatever big ticket item I end up saving for first. (if I make it that far, haha)

Hmm. Well, genes are cheaper, depending on what one you want. And you're more likely to pass on a gene when only one parent has one than to have a nice breed baby when one of the parents is a starter breed. But either way, people will want to buy the babies, so both will get you lots of treasure.

*nodnod* Yeah, I might try for a gene first. I really want a Wildclaw, but I know there's not much chance of getting a baby if it's not paired with another Wildclaw, so...maybe gene first and breed later.

Which gene are you thinking of going for? (I was surprised to find that people tend to sell them for about the same amount on the AH as in the Marketplace.)

I'm not sure yet! Dean and Castiel are the only dragons I have solid gene plans for, but they're not really the types I want to breed for pretty offspring specifically, so I might just grab something else and put it on one of my more vivid dragons.

I actually really love the look of Clown so I might go for that one first and see who it looks best on.

I have several genes so I can show dragons with any spesific gene sets if need be

Thanks Nef! I actually just realized today that you can search for Dragons and specify colours/markings/etc so I've got a pretty good idea of what some of mine could look like with genes or even on other breeds.

I just wish they'd put some of those search options in the AH so I could be more specific when looking for dragons to buy. :3

So I'm thinking about getting iridescent for Jaz so that my next set of babies will for sure have a primary gene... And it's on the AH for about 130kt, which I can totally save up in the next few days (I keep getting a /lot/ of familiars in the coliseum???), especially if my fae hatchling sells.

Only one thing. I'm worried iridescent won't look good on my guardian lady, and I don't want to buy it and then not want to use it. So does anyone have a tangerine guardian (or other breed, I suppose) with iridescent? I've already previewed tiger on her, and I mostly liked that, but it didn't quite seem to fit.

EDIT: I forgot about the dragon search function, haha. There were no ladies with it, but I did find a male... What do you guys think?

Oh WOW I love the iridescent on tangerine. It looks like a sunrise!

He kinda looks like someone put him in the sun too long and he faded XD

in my oppinion iridescent looks better on darker colors, but it's all a matter of taste personally I'd go for tiger on that color dragon but thats me

I would, except her mate has the tiger and I don't want them to have the same one right now.): I might change her to tiger later on, though...

I think the clown looks better to be honest. The wings look like they're wilting a little on the first.

I agree with Doc clown is more striking.

I'm trying to decide what to do with this lil guy. while I love him as a guardian I am toying with the idea of turning him into a pearlcatcher .. perhaps a tundra cause I think he'd be stunning as either breed

I think I'm going to go with iridescent because it's cheaper and I eventually want her to be tiger anyway (but not before I make babies bc I want to have lots of options). With the colours she and her mate can get, some of them will look really nice in iridescent, too.(:

Personally, I like the tundra because I love those dark eye spots on the light face, so pretty!

I love the pearlie too though, the contrast with the wings are just lovely.
