Very good plan and I look forward to seeing them

A fun place to chat about hunter pets in the World of Warcraft.

You must still need the custom files. I don't think Efindel put those in when he did up the addon. There's ALOT there that Jorna never got a chance to put into the addon. Wolves haven't been playing fetch in a long timeTheDoomcookie wrote:I've always thought a lot of the wolf emotes should go to dogs. Yeah wolves are similar but I feel like they're too tame. I guess I just have trouble with a wolf playing fetch.
I think the hyena emotes are fine with hyenas... granted I probably should spend some more time with my hyena, but I think what I've seen is good. I guess I'll spend some time with one and double check, hehe.
omg I just now updated PetEmote and I LOVE IT. Aaahhhhhhhhhhh You have no idea how happy I amTeigan wrote:You must still need the custom files. And what I'm trying to ask is: should dogs have a similar feel to them as hyenas? Would that be about right?
Mine doesn't do that. Normally you only see that when you are an outside observer who doesn't have the addon. To me, all I see is "Azami touches her mistress's hand gently with a foreleg" or whatever. And, for other's pets, I see "Sekhmet nuzzles his mistress's leg" etc, etc.Rawr wrote:Been meaning to ask, but is there any way to get it to NOT say the pet's species? Here are my demon dog emotes. I am not done writing them (obviously) but haven't been on the forums to post what I have written. Been a bit out of sorts. Will be adding more tonight and through the weekend.Demon Dog Emotes
------ chuffs at his /her master in play making small fire plumes.
----- nips your calf to instigate some rough housing.
----- senses a nearby critter and begins to stalk.
----- senses a foe, lowers his /her head and raises the hair on his /her back.
----- sneaks into your pack stealing some food then bounds away.
---- steals your pack and runs off with it.
---- steals your boot and runs off with it.
---- steals your bow and runs off with it.
---- steals your gloves and runs off with them.
---- feels the need to hunt. Are you ready mistress /master?
---’s ears turn rapidly listening to a sound in the distance.
I had that problem. I was able to fix it by using Curse Client to uninstall PetEmote and letting it also any delete any saved info about the addon. Then a fresh install of the addon and new emotes and it was fixed. For me at least. I kept manually deleting the addon myself but it wasn't getting the saved info in the other files that way, somehow that seemed to be messing up how it showed the emotes. Good Luck!Teigan wrote:Mine doesn't do that. Normally you only see that when you are an outside observer who doesn't have the addon. To someone without the addon, it would appear "Teigan's pet spider Azami touches her mistress's hand gently with a foreleg" and "Jadeshot's pet cat Sekhmet nuzzles his mistress's leg" etc etc.
Why yours is acting like you don't have the addon is beyond me. I've heard of the problem before but never experienced it and sadly have no idea what to do about it.
I think my TRP2 addon does it. But still if there was a way to get it to not say the species that would be cool. I mean I make my own Crocoslime e-motes and I have to place Biohazard as a "Slime" but people can see my pet is a slime or whatever pet it is, its just really redundant to me is all.Teigan wrote:Mine doesn't do that. On a side note can someone recommend a good non-combat pet emote addon? I have tried Chinchilla Critter Emote, but some of the emotes are a a bit strange, and down right embarrassing.
