I was literally JUST thinking that underbelly looked a bit odd with crystal/facet cause it made the belly look so much more 'dull'.

I can't wait to get this for Azure and Sapphire and see how cute their babies are now. <3

Oooh yes that's always been a problem with iridescent/crystal dragons because the rest of the body has all these faceted shines and then the belly is flat and stands out too much. It's definitely a redundant gene, but certainly needed I think.

Looks like it colors the whiskers on the PCs too.

You're right, the whiskers and the horn (oh and the pearl too, I just noticed). I wonder what secondary features it'll change on other breeds, could be very nice!

I dunno... Having a gem tert gene that is just basically underbelly with a sparkle brush slapped on it seems a bit lazy to me, from an artists standpoint (and this is coming from a crappy and very lazy artist!)
I wouldn't say that it's a big middle finger to the users or anything.. But it does kinda feel like "We're going to let you buy something we already made for much more.. But it's okay BECAUSE IT SPARKLES NOW YAAAAAY"

Also super unimpressed about the voting. But I won't get into that here.

But I'm excited to see they're working on some changes to the site and such.

It does suck that for being a gem gene, glimmer is fairly simple. But I won't be buying it anyways... I'll wait to buy dragons already with the gene like I did with crystal and facet. That aside... I do think it's still a neat gene. The way it effects other parts of the dragon, ex. the pearl on Pearlcatchers, is interesting... and when paired with crystal at least it won't look so flat.

As for voting... which themed apparel did you all choose? I chose crowns as my first choice, because we need crowns. Badly. 2nd choice would be collars, 3rd choice halos, 4th banner.

Wish there was a "retire all" choice for the other question, though.

Thank heaven! Because, to be honest, underbelly really was rather bland with crystal/facet. Which kept me from using it on my cry/face dragons. I'm looking very forward to this!

I don't think you can really go wrong with this gene. Sunset dragons, Galaxy/nebula dragons, water dragons... They'll all look pretty spectacular I think.

I can't wait to see Sunshine Glimmer and Midnight glimmer.

I HATE that they made one of the most popular genes into a gem gene.. i love it and hate it at the same time. Underbelly is one of my favorite genes so this sucks just a little bit. Im either going to need to rebuy a lot of my dragon or buy a WHOLE lot of gems..

Flight Rising can be such a small world... My pair Starlight and Moondust had a baby that Noleni now owns, which in turn had two kids, one of which is in a uni friend's lair. o: What on earth are the chances of that happening? I would never have found out if I hadn't been stalking some of my dragon's kids just now haha.

Snowy i hope all of the grandbabys are in happy lairs or at least doing good by the Icewarden.

One of their kids was exalted but I'm not too bothered because it was back before I gened Starlight with cry/face and the babies are MUCH prettier with those genes.

I'm sure most people know this by now but nocturnes are glitched to be tiny when on CD, and breed-changed nocs are perma-tiny xD
I like to document the growth of my dragons and have sniped those of some of my nocs before I bred them or else from those I have not bred. Here's a small flock compared to my two biggest imps (Zeru is 29.55m and Liadrin 29.86m):
