Oh the f-ing pain! Go away! My back is acting up again.. Not the worst it's been.. and I CAN move if I stay kind of in a hunched-over-knees-bent kind of position (not like the last time.. where I had to drag my right leg sideways in order to move..) but.. this hurts when when I sit.. and I need to write this report.. and I really don't want to.. and the pain doesn't help... AAARRRGGGG. Tylenol did nothing, but I just managed to snag some anti-inflammatories off a room mate... hopefully it goes away...

Software developers who seem to REFUSE to listen to long-time users of their products.

I've been using my professional software now for nearly 20 years (I was among the very first PC users of what was originally a Mac product).

We have been BEGGING for certain improvements, bug fixes, and features.

And year after year... nada, nothing, zilch, zip, rien.

This year, they made a HUGE hubbub about the new version coming out with GROUND BREAKING NEW FEATURES!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO FIREWORKS!!!! DRAMA!!!! MUCH ADO (and as it turns out, about nothing)

They had exactly ONE new fracking feature.. and it's one that no North American user will really use (support for unicode). It's not exactly a high-priority demand on the software forum.

Nothing else.
No bug fixes. (LONG standing bugs, too!!)
No actual improvements to workflow.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO fracking pissed off at them.

It's as if the company hired a bunch of morons who just decided to do "whatever" without actually ever USING the stupid software they were "improving".

Two auto designers prepping for a new model year:
"hey, let's make next year's model of the Ford Pickup with built in fuzzy dice!!!!"
"yeah, and we could paint the front windshield black so no one can see through it! that would be cool!!!"

THAT is about how useful the new version of my software is.

My back pain hasn't gone away.. even with the anti-inflammatories... It's.. mildly more liveable.. but not much.. DAMNIT!

My life is crumbling, between choking on tears and gut wrenching sobs... I can type this.. I dont know what to do, Idk if I can handle this.. I need an escape, the pains becoming too much and I'm going to a sad place.. I feel alone... and helpless...

I decided to camp Aeonaxx fo my hordie druid. Spent a lot of the weekend in Deepholm. Nothing. A deathknight named Beibersmum asked me if I was farming Aeonaxx. I said "no, just enjoying the piece and quiet." Fast forward to 1am my time. I set myself up to camp through the night, laptop on my bedside table. Npcscan wakes me up: Aeonaxx. I sleepily fly around, nothing. Then I see that it was the engaged Aeonaxx. Ah well, maybe npcscan was wrong. A minute later in /1 Deepholm: Beibersmum: F**K YES! [Reins of the Phosphorescent Stone Drake]

But the guy got it fair and square, apart from the facepalm name. I can see 4 spawns from my spot, so I assume it was the SE1 or NE1 spawn.

My back still freaking hurts. REALLY bad... I should see a doctor, but that would require getting to campus.. and back. Also.. all they ever do is hand me prescription strength anti-inflammatories and send me out the door... I'm kind of against drugs being the first line of defense (long rant said why for mental disorders... I had a similar situation when I went for help with my back..) and would rather know WHY my back is fucked... But nooo, tests cost money to run and so the government doesn't do it if they don't have to.. free healthcare is great and all.. but it really does cause them to take some shortcuts..

On top of that.. I need to finish this report.. and I don't even know how I'm supposed to. Example: For our discussion, it says we can use a MAXIMUM of 5 new references not used in the intro.. which had a max of 5 again.. There's no started minimum for either, but then when people asked about it, the prof said "Oh, yeah.. by the way you should use a minimum of 4 for your intro" with no comment on the minimum new references for the discussion.. And I mean.. i could just BS up one or 2 extra articles, but we get a full TWO marks for using "additional references" ... And.. I SUPPOSE I could really freaking pad the discussion with all 5... but these articles are REALLY long.. REALLY hard to read.. my report is due tomorrow (Yes, I've been working on it since thursday.. but the articles are soo rough to get through, I didn't actually get to writing til yesterday.. and I'd have to read 5 NEW ones..) AND I have my vert lab final on wednesday.. in the MORNING.. so I really should be studying for that... I just.. This sucks. I REALLY don't like when they're all "yes, we have specific expectations, but we didn't write them down, and we aren't going to answer the questions asking about them" ... seriously.. how is that in ANY WAY REMOTELY fair...?

To top it off I "have" to finish writing this thing upstairs... since I'm expecting 1 or 2 packages today.. and even if I could hear the doorbell down here (can't usually) I doubt I'd get upstairs in time with the way my back is...

my back pain won't go away.. sometimes i think it's gone and I just have some stiffness left over from sitting/walking weird... then I try to move normally and.. nope.. still there.

I'm sick of cleaner your dogs crap from around our pool please fix the whole in your fence. No it's not my cat doing it as I know his pooing habits and he likes to go in the grass and garden and he trys to hide it. Allso I don't think he could poo bits thicker than his back legs.

Okay, seriously...my crap should -not- come out so big that it -tears- my skin around my anus. This is ridiculous, especially since it's been a daily recurrence for a -week- now. I'm sick and tired of being in pain and to the point that I'm pretty much scared to use the bathroom because I -know- it's going to just tear again and hurt more.

You need to see a doctor, asap. It could be an intestinal problem or prostate.

As I explained to Cow last night, I'm afraid that I can't afford a doctor.

However, the message she left me reminded me that I have stool softeners, so I started taking them. It seems to be helping.

Thanks for the advice, though, and once I can afford a doctor, I'll go to one if it happens again.
