I'd be happy if they left it that way.
A fun place to chat about hunter pets in the World of Warcraft.

Anyway, OT: I really like the way this thing looks. I'm really hoping that part of the profits will go to charity so I can maybe save to buy it.

I--
I was beaten to the punch by Tyger. ;_;
Well they are probably still working on it, but the one that you see on the Blizzard Facebook page looks very much completed. I rather like the way the Mane flows with the Black/Onyx coloring of the lions body. It looks like something that is from the Tol'Vir/Uldum area.Rawr wrote:The thing only looks half done. Are they really going to leave it two toned? I mean monochromatic is cool and all but so much more could be done with this mount...............
You can do this with any flying mount if your just below the surface of the water.Sukurachi wrote:I wonder... the Sparkle Pony has a nice advantage (which I don't know if other mounts now also have, so please, correct me if I'm wrong) that you can mount in/under water and "launch" into flight with them. I wonder if the new Flaming Feline will also do that?
I guess you can count me as one who loves that I can buy the mount at the store. I don't raid, and I can't get through enough content to get the achievement mounts, so it's nice to know I can at least buy a few nice things for myself.

does this mean you can mount at the bottom of a lake and swim-fly up to the surface and break the surface to fly away?AdamSavage wrote:You can do this with any flying mount if your just below the surface of the water.Sukurachi wrote:I wonder... the Sparkle Pony has a nice advantage (which I don't know if other mounts now also have, so please, correct me if I'm wrong) that you can mount in/under water and "launch" into flight with them. Yup. And no, it's not new. They've been like that for awhile.Sukurachi wrote:does this mean you can mount at the bottom of a lake and swim-fly up to the surface and break the surface to fly away?AdamSavage wrote:You can do this with any flying mount if your just below the surface of the water.Sukurachi wrote:I wonder... the Sparkle Pony has a nice advantage (which I don't know if other mounts now also have, so please, correct me if I'm wrong) that you can mount in/under water and "launch" into flight with them. if so, then this is a relatively new change, isn't it?

This mount is 'coming soon to the blizzard store'
Or so their facebook pages says
however, from my experience, regular flying mounts cannot be accessed from under water at all (I just tested a regular Horde racial flying mount), so I take it this only applies to those very few flying mounts that are "Special"? like the headless horseman's mount? (I haven't had time to log on to my main who has a dragon mount)Jessibelle wrote:Yup. And no, it's not new. They've been like that for awhile.
My particular guess is this is something that would apply to the mounts like Sparkle Pony, Headless Horseman, etc. because they scale to the riding skill you have, thus when they are underwater they act as though they are a land mount and not a flying mount. I don't think other things (Gryphons, Wyverns, drakes, etc.) will work in that manner. You can mount them at the top of the water and take off, but you cannot fly them under the water without getting dismounted.Sukurachi wrote:however, from my experience, regular flying mounts cannot be accessed from under water at all (I just tested a regular Horde racial flying mount), so I take it this only applies to those very few flying mounts that are "Special"? like the headless horseman's mount? edit:
ok, I can access any of my ground mounts from under water, however, the Sparkle Pony is the only flying mount I have that can be accessed in the same way.
Of course, that only means that I have very few flying mounts. But which other flying mounts can launch from under water?
