I vote for Mazzranache, the site's original mascot. He's admittedly not the most popular pet out there, but he's distinctive, well-known, and a lot more unique than creatures we're familiar with in real life.

The great thing about Mazz is that his babies can now be added as well, for extra d'awww!

Loque would be my vote. He's the pet everyone recognizes and also means the most to me personally.
If not him, then Mazz would get my vote.

Well, I've taken a look at what you guys have suggested, and I think that being able to rotate through different animals would be fun. That way, we can have two (or three, if the demand is high enough) pets from each expansion. That way, we all get represented.

For example, including the pets:
Vanilla: Ghostsaber, Clutchmother/Mazz, Chitter
TBC: Sporebat, Gezz, Dragonhawk
Wrath: Loque (or another from the Scholazar Trio), Skoll,
Cata: Sambas, Mag/Ahnka (that way we get another spirit beast model in), Skarr

That way, we can represent all three talent trees, including BM, in an equal manner. But that's just my two cents.

Though, if we have to vote for just one, I'd go for Loque. He is, as of right now, the only skin where there are no alternatives. He is, as of right now, truly unique in the game. Well, there's Har'koa, but you can't tame her.

E: Or, as a joke, Johnny Awesome. He has Dazzle and Sparkles, and is not afraid to use them!

There's actually quite a few unique rares in game--Old Cliff Jumper, most of the Spirit Beasts, Evalcharr & Razza, Krush, Ashtail, green/blue/red Madexx, few of the new spiders & pets like Gezzarak & Lone Hunter if you count non-rare uniques. If you want a pet that's unique as the mascot, there's plenty of choices!

I think Caelaza meant that Loque has a completely unique Shape. You are right, there are many others that are uniquely colored.

Acherontia, GormanGhaste: Sorry, I should've explained myself better in my post, but, yes, the shape of Loque is truly unique. New and old hunters recognize it instantly. If there's another rare (other than a Spirit Beast, and even then the Mag/Gon/Ank kitties may confuse some new hunters), I find myself going, "Huh, that's a nice skin, but I don't recognize it from anywhere." Until I look it up and finally file it away in my brain, I'll always get the look of creatures, and if those creatures are of a rare skin, mixed up.

Hopefully you can make sense of this.

Ahh yeah--you meant the Model.

Model = shape, skin = the markings/colorings, I think!

Aren't Chromaggus and the grey/white core hounds unique in model as well, excluding the non-tameable versions?

D'oh! You're right, forgot about the core hounds. Well, Loque is the only Rare unique model.
