I agree with several people in this thread that we have only scratched the surface, on a quarter of the new tameable rares have been discovered!!! They certainly can't/wont be all SBs, since that would overly favor the BM hunters!!!

I also love the idea of the taming challenge and also would love to see a hunter specific taming achievement tied with these rares or perhaps in a future patch!!! It would be cool to have to tame the 8 challenging rares and then get an achievement title or even perhaps another reward? If they are hard and rare then perhaps accomplishing the achievement rewards the hunter with a unique companion pet, mount, or even a special combat pet?

Sorry, just letting the creative juices takeover!!!

Thus far, I'm not impressed. Recolors/Reskins of current pets is meh imo. Sure the challenge might be... fun? Sure, i appreciate the attention to the hunter class, but if this trend continues, I'll actually thank Blizzard, as i won't have to camp any more rarespawns, of which i am currently very fed up with.

EDIT: Lack of stable space (never thought id say that after getting 25 spots) kinda makes me indifferent about rare pets any more.

That would be cool! I think for the rarest of the rare that would be nice, like the TLPD and the FoS. But that would favour hunters more achievement points over every other class. I mean, I know the Big B likes us, but I don't think they'll go out of their way to give us more AP's.

Now this sounds awesome. If it was an achievement it should be a FoS that also comes with a title or pet or mount.

Come on a set of pets matching Terrorpene! I want a fire Turtle, Raptor, Wolf, Cat, Spider, Ravager, Wind Serpent/Dragonhawk (all non-Exotic)

Oooh, I'd love to see another Dragonhawk in game that's not found in a Raid or Dungeon setting. Been trying to tame the blue one for weeks with no success.

Well, it's a nice spot! Perfect for showing off a new animal and enjoying the scenery. And, of course, that statue at the back doesn't help!

I was super disappointed at first but the more I see Ban'thalos the more fond of him I become. I love the effect on his wings.

I'm not a fan or the spiders but I do think they look pretty neat. I highly doubt I'll ever get one, since I'm pretty much a noob! X) I love the blue Magria kitty although the other I find kinda plain. When I look at it, it looks like the frostsaber saber model only see-through-y. I could see how that could be cool for an RP story... Saber kitty spirit??

Anyway, I feel that a lot of this whining is unnecessary. Nothing had to be added at all and these will definitely provide a challenge for some people. I'll admit that I wish there had been something else but does that mean Blizzard is lazy or doesn't care about their users? No! I really feel that some people have expectations that are MUCH too high. If everything was added that everyone wanted, not only would there be a MILLION models but everything would be a "special snowflake" so to speak and therefore not really be all that special anymore. That's just my take on it.

I have to admit I don't understand the recoloring or whatever. Is it really a recolor or is it a separate model? Or both? lol Either way, I like them both better than Gondria because her colors don't really suit my hunter.

Good luck to everyone planning on hunting these guys! I can't help but feel you're going to need it, lol.

The new owl is actually bigger than regular owls.

Sasrei put up pics of him and Olm next to each other in the owl thread. The difference is HUGE and gets even bigger with BW up.

I can't emphasize enough how eye-poppingly bright these three all are. It hurts me to look at them for extended periods of time!

Okay, Ankha is growing on me, too. Dang it. Now I'll have to tame all three new SBs.
