I was feeling all critical last night and realized it and was like, "Augh stop criticizing people it's mean! D:" especially because it's not like my drawing skills are any better. xD
That said, I am really, really envious of its claws. I need to work on those.

Xakaal wrote:I wonder.. you have amazing hand drawn art, as well as your stunning pixel art.. ive always wanted a tattoo of a fox, which i plan to get one day once ive aquired the money and found an artist im happy with, kind of in this style or this style (not the artwork but the body posture. Sorry, i know the general position they're in is the same with posture mostly being the only thing different but i looooove how its almost like they're slinking downwards).
Id like for her to be graceful and flowy as if painted with long brush strokes (im a huge sucker for japanese paintings), not muscular and buff like the pictures i linked, id absolutely love to see your take on this project if your interested, the details would be really simple, it'd be more of like, a line brush painting so it wouldnt have ruffle marks to define fur an the eyes would be simple with no pupils (kinda like how you did the eyes on Azu/Faron, no pupils but just by how the eyes are shaped theres a lot of personality in them).
:3 <3
(I have a better refrence pic of position now yey! And i love your okami-style artwork, i love that game, i wish i could play it again but my dad took my PS2 to keep at his place for stepmom and baby sister.. which im not happy about cause it was a christmas gift a few years ago to me >.>;;)
I didnt want to bug you to ask if you were doing requests at all for a while cause you seemed quite busy (which i found out you were when you posted in your pixel thread) but i wanted to wait till it looked like you were getting back into a artistic groove again... are you still taking occasional requests? Id absolutely looooooove for a 9 tailed fox in that okami style in this kind of position (this one is a 5 tailed piece of pixelwork one of the magistream users made me):

I'll keep it in mind, but I'm afraid requests are on my tentative "maybe" list. >.< I might be ever so slightly really really behind on a lot of things right now. xD
It does sound like a fun thing to draw, though, so that gives it much better chances!

Me: Okay. Now, you need to work on those two school paintings, then get to work on commissions. Got it? Got it! Now…
…
…What are you doing, me? No! BAD LUPIS! Stop drawing foxes! Stop it right now yo- oh this is actually turning out well.
…Well, Xakaal, you might have that request finished, because it seems all I really want to draw is that nine-tailed fox.

Internal conversations ftw and yeeey fix <3 Btw you use a tablet right? How long did it take you to get the hang of it (im having the worst time of my life working mine..)

It took me a few days at least, they really throw you off at first. Use it as much as possible (browsing the internet, sketching randomly, etc) and that will help you get the hang of it. Warning, using it to play WoW is kind of hard. Trust me, I've tried. xD
Really it just takes practice, practice, practice to figure out. Don't give it up, though, it's one heck of an awesome tool for drawing.

Yea, my problem is that i lift my pencil up a lot, i make wispy lines and i just keep drawing over and over them while i draw but the tablet cant understand that and there'll be this HUUUUGE gap.... im also having trouble finding a comfy place for my arm cause i lay my arm on the paper but the tablet reacts to it, even when i adjust where the sensitivity should be

Yeah, it takes a bit. xD I usually rest my hand on the tablet and my arm either on the arm of my chair or just hanging. Some people put the tablet in their lap instead of on the desk. (My hand has rubbed over the tablet surface so many times that the usual slightly gritty surface is worn down to a completely smooth, reflective sheen. xD)

ooooh i might use my lap when my cat isnt sleeping there (he is 90% of the time on my lap XD and this tablet keeps getting in the way of my typing cause its infront of the keyboard D:) if i can get the tutorial to work im sure the process will be a looot easier but for now im just screwing around in photoshop, it came whit a bunch of art programs like photoshop elements 8.0, corel painter essentials 4.0, nik color efex pro 3.0... i think i got my work cut out for the next few months learning how to make the best use out of those programs (im so used to my free paint.net XD)
