Yeah, a lot of beasts have the poofing chests and whatnot, it's just that Sambas' is so much more prominent and noticeable to me because it's one small piece. Like someone mentioned above, it reminds me of a tumor or something.

Look, I tried. I even went and tamed the pretty black Wasp, and the White one. Thinking I could make a pair...but...Mehhhhh. They really do creep me out way to much. Their sound, their wings, the stinger, the way they clean their faces....

actually if a moth that size was coming after you you would be afraid

I'm a terrible-horrible person.I dislike commons because I feel as if a Hunter should WORK for his companion. I also feel satisfied knowing I have all 9 Spirit Beasts...they keep each other happy because...what family wouldn't be happy being all together. Amirite?

Edit: All the above is clearly my views for aesthetics and a sort of "Role-Play" type of mentality. I'm completely aware that just because an NPC spawns just once every 24-48 hours does NOT mean it's different than any other NPC, mechanically, that spawns every 30secs after you kill it.

Nah. What happens if a hunter randomly stumbles across a rare - skip it because he didn't work for it?

For me, Monkeys and Gorillas. I am sick to death of the focus these animals get in real life get because they are so "amazing" because they are SO alike to humans. I prefer animals that are very different to us as there is less known about them.

Never been a boar fan really and the only bear I like is Arcturis because he was my first spirit beast and he is special.

Also Sporebats. I don't like their head, it looks all wonky, also the poor things need more colours!

I have to say I like nearly all of the challenge rares and spirit beasts but I can associate with those who see them being overused. BUT I will keep my baby Skarr out for as long as I want because I LOVE the skin... don't care that nearly half the hunters I see have one including a fellow guildy.

Oh I also cannot stand the common scorpions, they're so small and if there was no challenge to get one I don't see the point.

Annnnnnd a lot of the birds. The flapping motion for the eagles irks me because I feel their wings curl in way too far. It just doesn't look right to me. shame I like the skins and colours they come in.
