Hehe thanks =), well the background was an abstract background off google images , but I used photoshop to crop it and add the blue, and then I took my character from the armory and cut out the armory background and put her onto the new one ( was probably a faster way to do the cutting part, but I needed some way to use my time so I took the long way =P.) Then I just added the text and sparkles and some shininess =P.

So it was pretty much made by me, though I can't take credit for the background , since all I really did was re-color it a little =P.

I've been finding my luck on TLPD checking in 24-hour cycles. Seems the best for sanity anyway...

And yeah I've been considering giving the camping up for a little while, and doing check-ins every now and then. The 24 hour thing could probably help, because very often I find Vyras/ TLPDs at the same time of day as the day before. Just a bit hard to stop camping, because it's that whole feeling of- if I leave, I've just wasted 2 weeks of camping, if you know what I mean.

yeah i know what u mean!. When i decided to take a break from Aeonaxx camping. I lasted for a day. then i decided Night Camping was an idea.! Cos i had so much things to do in the day.

Yeahh I think I'll just start doing that, camping during the day all the time just starts getting depressing haha =P, might check during the day around the common spawning times, and maybe some night camps when I'm feeling up for it =).

If anything you can find a good book series to read and either keep your headset on while you camp or switch to speakers so you can still camp while keeping yourself a bit more entertained.

Hehe yeah I've been reading the Tomorrow When the War Began series , I had to read the first one for school, and surprisingly it was really good . So I got the second and third book for Christmas.

Also instead of rushing back to Storm Peaks right after my raid tonight, I decided to just go do other things instead, weekly kill of KT...most frustrating boss to solo ( for me anyway.) The way your pet bugs when positioning it behind the pillar @.@, there's probably some solution to it but I haven't really looked into it . Killed him after the second go because my pet went psycho and brought the boss to me during the MC phase during the first attempt..You can guess what happened next =P. And no mount either yet .

After that I had nothing really to do..and that's when the feeling to go to Storm Peaks sparked up. I sat at Bor's Breath for about 40 minutes, chatting with this really nice camper I met . I've been watching the Ulduar and Bor's Breath spawn, while hes been watching Brunn and the Frozen Waterfall. I really do hope we can both get him eventually, we've both been at it for a while =).

Anywho, after sitting there for about 40 minutes or so, I decided to do a check with Eagle Eye up near Ulduar, I caught Vyra patting down the Snowdrift Plains. I let my new camper friend know ( very good timing too because he was just about to go to bed) and so Vyra has granted the both of us a better nights sleep .

After finally seeing another Vyra I'm actually starting to feel as though I'm about to get sucked back into camping . It must have been after not seeing any trace of her in the past two days that was making me lose hope. I'll see if i feel like camping tomorow .

I've just finished reading your whole topic :p I very recently got my own TLPD after 4 odd months of on/off camping, in the end it took 25 mins of sitting on a ledge.

I'll tell you this though, you did the right thing by joining these forums, I was going to come and share a story about another mount and when I clicked on the forums link I heard my NPC scanner blare and there was TLPD! So these forums are very lucky indeed!

I've been reading some of peoples stories of finding TLPD on WoWhead too, and a lot of them have found him shortly after starting visiting to read some of the others stories. So reading about him must be good luck! Same goes with the rare spawn pets, I've noticed a few people visiting these forums to post about a pet, when suddenly NPCscan finds exactly what they're after! Hopefully the luck comes my way soon .

EDIT: So I was reading through some of the older TLPD journals on Petopia and after about 10 minutes NPCscan sets off. It was Vyra, but it's still kind of lucky that something spawned as I started reading. Your theory may just be right .

Let's hope it brings me luck tonight. I'm not really tired, but I've been doing good this week--going to bed at a normal time. Just can't seem to tonight. So, for that reason, I'm going to camp TLPD. I've basically programmed his actual spawn locations in my head. I'm not going to do any flying patrols for him I don't think. Why? Because I have a theory. I think his spawn times are more frequent than we realize and that people tend to get him AS SOON AS he spawns. Since he's been around a while, people know his exact spawn locations. It's easier to catch him RIGHT when he spawns than to patrol around and try to catch him in air. That's obviously just a simple theory that I really have no proof of but it just seems logical. For my server anyway.

During the day, I'm not going to camp him anymore. There were about 6 people out here camping for him, and it was constant. Some would leave but two or three would take their place. Not all on the same locations but you know what I mean. Just sorta makes me unmotivated to camp for something because I KNOW what would happen if he spawns right in front of two or three people. It'd be a totally bad experience resulting in all but one of us really ticked off. I don't want that. ;o) So, it's just going to be late night camping for me.

I tend to get super-addicted to this type of thing. Just like you said, "I don't want to leave because I've wasted two weeks..." That sort of thing REALLY weighs in on me. And I have that, "Just 30 more minutes" chat in my head non-stop! So, for me I'm going to try limiting myself to a certain shift, and only camping during that time. This guy apparently spawns everyday? So, we'll get him...It's just a matter of being there...and if we make sure we're there a little each day--you'll eventually run right into him and get him. It helps to try to pin point the best times/places but you get what I'm saying.

I read a lot on the notsorare.com website about his spawning and such. I'm going to camp at the spawn location he tends to appear at most from that website's records. That's all I can do. I'll camp whenever I am not doing much online. Like I work from home so I'm just going to leave my character parked there and if I see him, I see him. My chances are MUCH better sitting on a direct spawn point than they are flying around doing patrols. I think for the TLPD it's best to park on direct spawns rather than try to cover a large area. Seems to me the chances are better that way. Because if he DOES spawn near you, he'll be spawning right on top of you. Can't miss that! I'll let you know how it goes. But I have a feeling this is the best method for me to not get obsessed and think I need to be everywhere at once. He has four spawn points on this map, so staying on one gives me 25% (or 1/4) of a chance to catch him for sure. Let's hope it works!

Get this-- Today I was checking the settings on my npcscan. Guess what? TLPD was not listed in the SEARCH column.... ;o\ So, all the times before I had camped/patrolled... it wasn't trying to scan for him *whines* No joke. So I put in his npcid and made sure to check before I started camping. Now I'm going to give it my all...yet I will feel more confident about it!

I wish you more luck on your search! It'll be exciting when you get him, I know you'll come straight here and post pics!!!

BTW--I think I'm going to put the npcscan sound as my ringtone...that is AFTER I find TLPD--otherwise it'd give me a heart attack!!!!

Ohh that's a good idea =) , it sounds far more relaxing, rather then watching all throughout the day as well as the night. Camping in the day time has a draining/wasting feel to it, I dunno , kind of like there's more things I could be spending the time then sitting on the computer. I told myself I was going to slow down on the crazy camping, but as soon as I came across Vyra again...It all came back =P.
And yeah I never really patrol, I always stay on the spawn point ( which is Bor's Breath in my case.) Lucky for us hunters..we can check out the other areas with Eagle Eye >:), very, very handy tool!

Oh wow! Lucky you noticed he wasn't in your NPCscan! I don't know what I would have done if I'd done that. I felt so annoyed after noticing I had Vyra cached the other day, so I really can't imagine what would happen to my head if TLPD hadn't been in there =P.

...Also...right as I was typing this up..Vyra spawned...Its the forum magic! I tell you! haha =). Normally I have my sisters toon parked over at Brunnhildar..But tonight for some strange reason the Ulduar spawn point was screaming at me, and so I re-located her toon over there. It had successful results, heard NPCscan blare from across the room , peered over to the other computer and saw a big blue dragon emerging from the ground with her body half burried =P.

So I guess our choice was good, camping the spots is a much better idea! I believe I killed her before anyone else saw. I have my husband's character on one spawn point and mine on another. While a friend of mine is camping at the village... 3 out of 4 covered is good!!!

Haha that's crazy how you found her too! And yeah camping the spots is definitely good...especially when Vyra spawns right on your head .

Today I'm camping in a different spot, because a new camper from yesterday has taken Bor's breath , and they're actually really nice so I decided to move elsewhere. They are alliance, but have a horde toon watching Brunnhildar for them and chatting to me from that toon. My next option was he waterfall but one of my other camper friends was there so I'm sitting out near Ulduar..I quite like the Ulduar spot, it's nice and quite .
So we actually have all 4 spots covered, so if anything shows up we should all know .

That's ideal! I, for some odd reason, have a feeling that Ulduar is where I'm going to get the TLPD. I've been right the past several times about rares and getting this "feeling." I should listen to it this time perhaps.

I moved from Bor's because I kept having people double camp me there. I swear, it's pointless guys! Why do they do it LOL!

Oh you'll laugh at my "new invention."

I just got this large stick, that's some sort of 0.5x2x4 piece of wood. Long & skinny. Well, I am using it to occasionally press the spacebar on my husbands computer while I have his character camping Ulduar. LOL! That way, I don't have to get up and can continue working or whatever I am doing over here on mine. HAHAH! Man, I need to take pictures, this is too funny.

Next thing you know that'll be "as seen on tv!" The amazing rare camper stick!

Ohh! You should certainly follow the feeling! Every time I'd gotten a TLPD feeling in the past (during a non-active camp) I've ignored it..and then eventually when I would finally give in to the feeling, I would go scout Storm Peaks...I would find..but dead . Twice I found him dead from ignoring the urge to go there. So I've now made a new commitment to follow all the rare spawn urges! It's been working with the camel figurines so far, definitely more then half of the figurines I've found have been completely random feelings to log on to WoW and just go check Uldum. Like last night, I didn't even have the game on my mind, I was just watching TV and my mind told me to go .

And omg that's very amusing haha! Open a camping stick shop!

Also, you're not the only one who gets driven crazy from camping, I just remembered something.. During my last camp I actually named one of the blur harpies that fly below in Bo'rs Breath, I was whispering to a friend and I was like " Omg! I'm going to name this harpie Bobria!"

Hahahaha I'm gonna call her that too now LOL!!!

Oh I named the herb that sometimes shows up at the spawn point at 51, 71, "Herby." LOL
