*hops around Wassa* Hoping! :D I mean, there's no guarantee, but they use the same skeleton, so why not? ;)

Hmm, so the Marsh Striders are classified as "Water Striders". Are the new insects also Water Striders and tamable? If so, those are two odd pet family roommates.

Well, fen striders could be bug...like...? They're both long-legged water striding creatures okay. :c

Fen striders are related to Sporebats. Infact there family name is Spore walker. But I can't see them being in that family tho

We won't know for sure until we find some water striders that we can actually tame, but considering that the exotic buff is waterwalking, it's likely that that's what's happened here.

They're all striders of some sort, at least. :) Wouldn't worry about it too much, though - silithid tamables ended up in three different families...

Not at the moment it seems. I tried a ram in Stonetalon and that one at least is still untameable.

By the way, the Water Pincer on the Wandering Isle is tameable. But since it's an exotic, and you leave the Isle around 12 and can't come back ... it's really just a cruel trick.

I feel pretty much the same way. Really happy for all who wants the new models/skins/whatever, but I for one was enjoying the thought of NOT having to redo my stable, because nothing new really fit my liking. Well, atleast the spore walkers are pretty cool, I like those more than the water striders (?), but I really hope atleast one more family will bring the BRez, so I don't have to tame a pet I don't like =/

Well, for me personally, I just think the model, no matter which skeleton, is ugly. But I'm happy hunters are getting a BRez, and I'm happy that those who wanted them got them.

And I'll say it again: give the quilen a chance in person. I didn't expect to like them at all, but there's something about them... :D

Your opinions might not be swayed, but at least give 'em one shot. :)

Well, I will probably tame one if that's the only one with the buff, but I don't have any high hopes. As Gimlion said, I don't really like it no matter the skeleton (I just don't like their faces) and would of course rather have a pet I liked from the start ;) I'm just not a dog person at all.. Although I have seen some skin that I like more than the others... don't remember from the top of my head which one it was :P

Oh, yes! It was a white/purple organic one, or the amethyst ones!

Well, you really need to try taming one.. after all, we stare at the arse-end of our pets most of the time, so need to get a feel for it in-game too. I'm wondering about the Q myself, but will certainly tame one for the brez.

Yeah, I'm not a dog person either! xD And I was completely indifferent to the quilen, regardless of skeleton, prior to taming. They have very strong, sturdy backs, which helps a lot. :)

So yeah, this is coming from someone who was not originally enthused either. ;) Even the stone skin, which they all have at the moment, is appealing - the eyessss!

I wasn't thrilled to get saddled with such a completely necessary pet, but I've been won over. I'm really surprised how much I like him!

They're not completely necessary, raids usually have a good number of people who can Brez. And you can dismiss, call Qulien, use Brez, then switch back if it comes to it.

I do see them coming in really handy in instances, though, which is where most pet abilities usually shine the brightest :)

Do Silithids still have their Stamina buff?

Yes, they do.

I'm not a dog person either - I'm so totally not a dog person, you probably can't go further. Maybe if someone was serially killing puppies, then he'd be less of a dog person than me. Anyway, I'm off track already?
I'm not a dog person either, but I'm taking a liking to Quilen. Just need a proper coloration, and this animation skeleton with that face and mane make them look kinda goofy. I like goofy pets.

But, it does let us know that the water-bugs are 'definitely' included!

...Take that with a grain of salt since it's beta, but I'm taking it as a good sign.
