Wow we have a solid group of 5 if only Meggers would change her entire work schedule, I mean thats not hard to ask right??? (i kid )



I got 2 more that I would say were "solid" for Herald, and I just got a message about one more from open raid. The other person said he had some connections so hopefully that might be good for the extra couple.

Problem is though we need some casters I think. I don't know how much exactly it would be required for the Algalon fight itself (something about locks or hunters kiting or killing stars i think)

Nope can't change it. I can stay up a bit later on fri/sat nights but I don't want to stay up till like 9-10pm my time and die when I wake up at 2am the next morning.

Well probably not on weeknights if you are in bed by 4pm...

But weekends are still in play I think (mornings at least - not sure how late you can go on a weekend night).

It all depends on how "early"(in the evening) you guys want(are willing) to go, because we have to plan for possible wipes and people being late etc. I can set up a later weeknight thing but it just depends on how late. (Just for ref, I am 2 hours behind EST)

Well generally I try to limit my evening gaming to 9-11p EST, but I can usually go later on weekends if needed.

I can also make it sat / sun mornings from about 9:30am-11am.

Also, I think battletags are going to be a necessity for this, for people who aren't linked via real ID.

I'm only able to really "play" later at night. The run would be around then since I do not play warcraft when my kids are up (minor AH checking logs, rare fly bys, or maybe a 5 minute heroic MGT run etc is ok here and there if they're watching a show)

The earliest I could log on to do it would be 10 EST really (normally 11EST). I can go later but I don't know what times will work for the other people who are running it.

I honestly think we'll be short of people by June 23rd, but I'm being hopeful. Perhaps a couple last minute additions will be able to be added from other communities. I'll maybe even try asking trade chat or ask others to do the same on their servers to perhaps find 1 or 2 players who might have 80's saved for this sort of thing.

I guess I'll have to find another way/group of people to run with then.

Still haven't heard back from you on weekend AMs though?

if it wont work on gearing up, if you're able to do that solo we can always try and find a right time to get the actual run in. I think it'll only take 1 hour if it goes smoothly. (just have to kill Flame Leviathan and XT, which can be done quicker via our ilvl 308 cata gear)

I'm still planning on Saturday at 10 CST for an attempt at Algalon.

If we end up with not enough people, I'll at least try and get a Uld10 run going, but I'm hoping things will fall into place.


I think I'll start posting in Trade chat on my server to see if there are any others out there that have a 80 as well. I don't think we'll have 10 people, but I'm hoping to get pretty close.

Even if I can pull in 8 or so, we could pick up a couple 85s and get some good practice.

Hey, I'm not going to be geared in time for this saturday as an actual Herald run. My DK has Weapons (Tankards are the best I can get on my own.) 213 Tier Shoulders, 213 leggings from Sarth, 226 JP wrists, the 226 JP Sigil, and the 213 JP boots. I've run all 7 of my Cata Dungeons for this week, and even as a tank Heroic LK queues are 30+ minutes, plus, at 23 JP a pop, they don't do much.

IF, you'd like me to help on a practice run, or perhaps a gear run, please let me know, I'm more than willing, but as of now, I can't make a real run for Herald. If you have someone that is geared and ready for saturday to fill the spot for Herald, I won't take it personally if you fill my spot, Football and Wrestling take alot more of my time than I expected, and I wasn't able to gear as much as I'd planned. So, go ahead and lemme know either here or PM, it doesn't matter. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well in re: JP, you should be getting 140 a pop from random cata pugs? Not sure what happened there but the 23 you mentioned sounds more like the reward from random wotlk stuff...

But otherwise yeah once you've picked up all the 226 JP gear, you really need a second person to farm the ICC5 stuff (219s and 232s); as an 80 tank in ilvl 308s you may be able to down the earlier bosses in normal and get yourself some 219s, but that's it - even in normal mode with that gear the icc5 end bosses are still virtually impossible to solo. But a pair of 80s in that gear can do it.

I've got all my herald gear, so if you need a hand just let me know and I'd be happy to run you thru a couple ICC5s on one of my lvl 85s.

If you read carefully, I said that the LK heroics were 30+ minutes a queue even as tank, and at 23 JP, it's not worth doing.

We got him to about 50% last weekend, we had problems with one of the characters internet connections and the one guy who was supposed to be a "top dps" never ended up showing up.

Good practice though:

Couple recommendations:

Buy a couple Cata Flasks (+300 intellect I was using) lasts an hour an perishable through death.

Buy some Cata - Food (make some) I'm using some Guppy one thats +60 intellect and stamina, I know the Fortune Cookies (that give you a fortune card too!) give +90 stat


Easy way to get an incredibly BIG boost.

There is a Uld25 raid going on this weekend on http:www.openraid.us I highly advise you guys to sign up on there if you haven't already (to that website).

They have a Herald run going this week thats some weird mid-afternoon run on Wednesday, and another set on July 12th. If I would be able to have a mic I'd sign up to lead one, but alas I'm speechless on Vent.

I think I might feel comfortable a bit more with a couple better pieces. I just felt it was a bit annoying having to wait around for an hour for the one guys friends to log on last week. I'm going to play it by ear for the next couple days to see if a miraculous gathering of Herald toons happens, but I might take this week to try running a Uld25.



What are your thoughts Kalli and Worba? Did you think we need to get a couple more pieces?

I know I'm lacking some pieces (shoulders, trinkets, sigh), but I do think that juggling my gear stats around was useful. Would need to test that, though.

I wish farming ToC 5 was easier. Stupid horse sequence. Hard to underman.

Was unimpressed by the attitude of the weekend's group. Barely got any attempts in. Might have made it otherwise. Hard to tell.

Yeah it was more of a attitude problem and less a ability problem. I'm going to rely on openraid fully I think.

I can organize one myself it but I need someone to be the lead during the fight (no working mic, can't talk)
