Well yes, that is when the pet dies.
However, he still resets, even if your pet is alive and clawing his face off.

My pet still counts as something for him to attack. My pet hasn't died at all yet, my problem is that he's despawning when my pet is still alive and it's never happened before.

The pet probably got wiped from his threat table temporarily.

I've had that happen before myself, Snowy. What I do is basically go hide myself behind the statue and let my pet do all of the damage with Blink Strike and Kill Command. It takes a bit but it guarantees that he won't glitch out.

Hiding behind the statue seems to be a really good idea, I'll try that next time. I used to try and hide my pet behind the pillar and LoS myself but everything always bugged out. >.< But hiding behind the statue myself and just letting my pet do most of the work seems like a plan. I know there's about 35 seconds or so between each time he casts the mind control, so I should be able to get some of my own DPS in there as well. Anyway, I've only done it three times, I've most likely got plenty of time to practice!

More or less. It never shows up right for me with my raiding mods enabled. You just watch out for when he says "Obey me." and related comments and that's when he's MCing. But in between I can get BW off and throw on a Serpent Sting, but since I don't even have to have my pet as a tanking spec, he does plenty of damage as is without my help. I just kill Phoenixes if they get too close to me in that phase.

And yeah. I tried so many times to get Shi and Kael'Thas behind the statue. Shi would get stuck in the statue and not be able to DPS or I would get MCed mid pull. So now I just send Shi after Kael'Thas and I hide behind the statue. xD

Just thought I should let you people who liked my loot code giveaways know that, in February, the next Timewalkers set is due out. Meaning I'll be grabbing a box. Meaning I'll be doing my one-pack-a-day opening again. Meaning... Possibly more codes for you guys. (; The loot hasn't been 100% confirmed as far as I'm aware, but it's apparently known to some that the mount for the upcoming set is the Ghostly Charger - I'm guessing that's that spectral skeletal horse we saw the model for not long ago on MMO-C. There's also a Dark Portal Hearthstone which, well, I'm betting you can guess what that does. And the pet for this set looks like it'll be the Floating Spellbook, which also kinda speaks for itself. The pet is usually the common loot so... Keep your eyes peeled if you want one. (;

Let me put this bluntly. I'm not too happy about this. That's such a weird thing to say after the Onyxian Drake dropped.
The one time I'm bored and solo it. The one time. And it drops. This mount was intended for my boyfriend, not me. That's why I two-manned it with him. For him.
To make it worse, it's his birthday today. I feel like shit for this.



As soon as I saw the mount, my heart sank. Instead of usual 'YES!' it was '... Shit, no.' because I realised I would have to tell him.

Edit: Okay, he's not really mad at me. He's a bit like 'Why did you solo it without meeee' but that's it. I overreacted. Even so, I'd feel bad using this mount around him. >.>

Aw. *hugs* @.@ That's about how I feel when I got two Blue Drakes back to back. But I brought someone who had spent 6 hours with me trying to get Kung Din instead. Now I'm bringing Sylvia who actually helped me get it in case it does drop xD I think Malygos hates me. But my boyfriend was not happy. Not at all... Not upset, mind you. He's a bit more "meh" about mounts than I am. And he teased me about it. "Wah, you're two-manning raids without meee. And with another male gamer, who's in the majority of the game, too! Such a cheat!"

Oh god, I wish I could sing & dance with you in celebration... I can imagine what that feels like... I hate how RNG hates us like that, the one time we don't' really want it to drop because of a situation like that, and it does...

Don't get me wrong, I adore that mount and have secretly wanted it for myself for a long time. I would be super happy about it but I feel like I've betrayed him a little. >___> I had bugged him for a while about doing seperate runs though. We both knew we could solo it and he's not into mounts nearly as much as I am. Things are more fun when two-manning with a friend or boyfriend though. xD He really didn't seem upset about it though. I thought he would've been and as soon as he got home I jumped on Skype with him and straight away I was like, "I'm so sorry!" and he just laughed.

Gah! Mounts always drop for me on that "one" run that my friend decides to pass on. It is just how they work!
Grats on the mount anyway. Atleast he kept his cool. If he can solo it, maybe you can bring him on an alt that cant solo now? double the drop chance for him.

I've already promised I'll run it with him from now on even though he can solo it. (: I've secretly been using the mount when he's not about though, hehehehe.
