Interesting - so if you hadn't changed specs in the meantime, I wonder if there are multiple parasite IDs.

Gunna test that, I never Beast Lore anything really (I have gotten the "Cannot be tamed" even if it was tamable.

Couldn't find any while in BM spec that didn't say tamable. I tried it on all the parasites from 3 different NPCs (2 Bonedust Moths and 1 Needleback Porcupine) all said Tamable (Exotic) no matter what spec I was in. You may just be having a UI error.

My Alliance hunter on Proudmore has one, Mitsubishii is his name if you want to give him a whisper to see one live.

I'm on Proudmoore and I have one, had no issues either.

I'm with Kalli, maybe there's multiple IDs?

All of us on Proudmore should get together for a group pic with our worms

This is what RealIDs were made for. One of my friends is a Hordie that I chatted with while on my goblin, even though my main (and every single other of my toons) is Alliance.

Don't even need to be on the quest - go to Dread Wastes south of Lake of Stars and attack moths and mushan and they'll spawn randomly. Got mine on the second mob

Using the pet follow bug with this is hilarious
(use the "Move To" command to make a pet move to the spot that another player is standing, and then cast master's call on that player before it reaches the player, the pet then follows them around)
It chases and eats people!

Even though it made me a little sad to do so, I let Tape, my jorumgar worm go and went after one of the amber parasites. It took me a few tries since I'd get no spawns, or one spawn which died. Even more frustrating was forgetting I had the Death from Above buff (or whatever it's called) and having that stupid Klaxxi come swooping down and kill the parasite I was trying to tame.

I don't think many hunters on Argent Dawn have tamed the parasites, at least that's the impression I get from the attention mine seems to attract. I've seen a lot of people stop, turn around, and look at the new Tape. I don't know how long I'll keep him. Happy, formerly known as Chibee, is still my favorite worm pet, even if he did get shrunk.

There are similliar skins of different colors in Naxx,but I die before I can get to them Has anyone tested to see if they can be tamed?

They cannot be tamed, even though they do have a diet and are considered 'worms' by it. Likewise with the grubs in Dragonblight.

Oh my gosh, I was just trying this and I've never laughed so hard in my life, partly from the victim's reaction. EVERY TIME. "OMG NOOOOO THIS IS TERRIFYING".

Apologises for the thread kick up but there's been a mini hotfix patch. Could someone double check these buggers are still okay to tame? I'm half way through 89 right now so need a bit more time
