Proceratos sounds like a Protoceratops with a few letters taken out.

With a name meaning ''Before Horn(s?)'', maybe it's hinting at a different Dire Horn model, one that doesn't have all the spines running up and down it, a possible evolutionary precursor to the symbolic Dire Horns.

Or it could be hinting at the Devilsaur horns. The new models do kinda look hornless to me.

The ''horns'' are more like crests really, but I can see how you could call them horns and thus have their name, Devilsaur, derived from it.

Wouldn't Proceratos therefore just be a "Dire" rather than a "Dire Horn"?

Heh, that kinda does bring up the question of ''If it has no horns, would or should it be in the Dire Horn family?''

Of course, it could always have little stubs for horns (More like spikes in this case) instead of the massive ones.

not a big fan of devilsaur so dont think ill tame and keep.
It is however nice to see that they have taken a old model and retextured/skinned it. Though its skinn looks washed out and blurry when you add the armor on(for the armor/mount/tank ones pictured on mmo).
I find that odd but its still a rather good looking devilsaur and i prob will tame on an alt who doesnt have a full stable XD

As for the flying thing on the phoenix model..I cant really make out its head and face so atm. hate.
The monster pterodon thing looks damned awsome though! and the serpentine dragon heads...omg. i wish those would be tameable Hydra!

The spirit beaver i personaly think will be one of the elite minipets. but we shal see

To be fair, it's not so much "guessing" as just "understanding Latin / naming methods of dinosaurs translate to"
Anyway, I'd hope to see the rest of the maggot models become tameable.

Elite pet bosses are not capturable, so then why would this little Skollbeaver have his own pet journal icon?
Perhaps there will be a boss version and a smaller, capturable version.

Even if the boss pets aren't captureable, they need to have an icon for the pet battle UI.

Because it is still technically a battle pet.
