IMO if you wanna get used to them go:
Gumi (Blue)
Hutia (Green)
Degu (Red)
Goes form easiest to hardest to tame. Red is a pain. Gumi you can kite uphill and follow the rock debris so you know exactly where u are going, and for Green just kite it around the log he is standing infront of.

All the non-armored devilsaur skins are available on the Isle of Giants.
Tentatively, my order for the porcupines in terms of a learning curve goes:
- Hutia (green)
- Gumi (blue)
- Degu (red)
Hutia's heal isn't that terrible to deal with, since she can be kited around in a fairly clear area. I found that to be easier to deal with than running through the mountains - Gumi seems so ridiculously fast there, and I had an easier time with him after having gotten used to kiting Hutia. Plus, she can be scattered, whereas Gumi cannot. Degu is just ridiculously twitchy, since he requires precise kiting for such a considerable amount of time.

I was just thinking that since I now have all 3 tames, I just used concussion shot and rarely traps, That Gumi may actually have a faster run speed then the rest. On the other 2 once my concssion shot ran off it took them a second or two to get to melee with me, But with Gumi she was pretty much instantly there.

Yeah, Gumi is a speed demon on rocky terrain, such a nightmare. That's why I think Hutia's better to learn off of. Gumi basically requires cheetah to be up and even then, you're highly likely to get caught.

Did a quick test with the /timer, Gumi got to me in 3 seconds at Max range, Hutia took 5.

Been doing some testing with Sickhuntz and added the following to the first post:
- Slows confirmed to work against all three: Concussive Shot, Ice Trap, Snake Trap, Binding Shot (including the stun). and Glaive Toss (unfortunately largely uneffective due to being such a small slow).
- Powershot's knockback works, but is largely impractical during a kite, due to having a cast time. Glyphed Explosive Trap does not work.
- Intimidation works, but would be difficult to pull off during a solo kite. The hunter would have to intimidate, heart of the phoenix, and abandon the pet.
- Mirrored Blades doesn't work on Degu, since his quills go through Deterrence.
That Degu....such a cheater.

The more I hear of Degu, the more I think I may have to go after his evil, evil butt.

In fairness, he's the only one Mirrored Blades *might* have worked on.
All three are evil in their own way. Gumi is ridiculously fast and in the worst terrain imaginable. It takes a lot of doing to reach the same pathways without getting smashed in the face. Hutia can occasionally chain cast like the pandaren rares, and unlike Degu, she doesn't stop to cast....which is really quite evil.

One of the mounts I obtained from the Zandalari Warbringers while I was on the PTR. Took 20 kills of the Warbringer before I saw the mount drop. This one is called Slate Primordial Direhorn. =)

Nice to see that skin around, even if it is on a mount.

Yep, the Warbringers can drop any of the four stone dire horn colors.

Actually only three colors drop from the Warbringers. Slate, which is the one in the screenshot I'm riding, the Amber Primordial Direhorn, and the Jade Primordial Direhorn. Those are the only three I've seen them ride everytime I've seen the Warbringers alive.

I realize these rares are hard to tame, but the 10min respawn makes me feel like Spirit beasts are easy to obtain now =/

They weren't hard to begin with.

I just tried Degu (Supposed hardest) and I died once, 2nd try I got him. I think actually Degu is the easiest since he is SOOOOOOO slow.

Also, at least they had a long spawn timer, not a lot of people (On my server at least) have the patients to camp them.

I had competition galore on my server. Half the hunters I know personally too! XD We camp with each other or just let these people go first and come back when they're done. The 10min spawn timer is grand to me.

Honestly, Spirit Beasts have been way more common place since patch 4.2. Even now with CRZs in effect, they really, really, really are not hard to obtain. Especially with how many there are. These are not the first to be common, honestly, as Ghostcrawler is nearly almost always out. Every BM that I know has at least one SB if not more. It's getting to a point where sometimes they seem more of a common sight then regular pets!
Considering you have to get to Pandaria in the first place to even get to these, along with whatever levels they are, I don't really see the 10min spawn timer being disastrous to the family. At least they have challenges so that you still feel like you earned the right to tame it, be it hard or not.
Even though I will not be after these myself, I'm happy that others can get them without having to put 9234298342 hours into camping them. I'd rather see them common and everywhere, then barely any and hard to get.

I felt camping them was the best part, but it's prob just nostalgia. I guess it won't be all to bad as long as we still see spirit beasts with -long- respawn times like the rest.
