Yeah I'm confused about that too.

That pet thing yeah its odd i mean its old school.

The bag might be for all the vanity pet accessory nick nacks (ribbon, ball etc etc) similar to how mining bag holds ore and bars, etc

A few days ago on Beta, I happen to run into someone who already had the Skeletal Raptor from Archaeology, so I made sure to take a pic. They said they got it around 150skill from a fossil digsite, I'm not sure if it was built like an artifact item or just an additional loot item, I didnt think to ask : / And while doing my own Archaeology on my war, I happen to run across the much bigger version in the wilds of Wetlands:

It's built from fragments, I saw a video somewhere about it. (I actually think it was linked somewhere on these forums but... >_<)

... Those living fossils look a tad... unfinished.

The Portable Pet Mansion confuses me a bit. It would have made a lot of sense back in the day when we had to carry pets around if we wanted to summon them, but now that they're spells I can't think of a reason for that kind of bag. o.O

I think I read somewhere on warcraftpets.com that our vanity pets might poop and stuff like that in cata. Maybe this has something to do with it? xP

The pooping information shown in Warcraftpets was an April Fool's joke, if I remember correctly. ;)

It looks like there will be three mini pets from archaeology. The mummified monkey paw and skeletal raptor as mentioned before, but there is also a clockwork gnome!

There is also a mini seagull(_) and fox(_).

With all the talk of having a Horde-equivalent version of Withers, I couldn't help but to ponder on druid forms in general and then this thought popped into my head ...

The fox kit makes me want to squeal. I'd love to have a fox kit.. so so cute!

For animations it can moonfire critters, then go oom and have to sit and drink xD

Well yeah, moonfire spam always makes a boomkin go oom in no time.

From what I've heard, the Sunflower pet is from a horde questline in Hillsbrad--has anyone heard how alliance will be able to get it? They instituted a horde vendor for Withers, so surely there will be an equivalent for the Sunflower pet.

The questline is neutral, it's from a goblin named Brazie in Hillsbrad, just south of the Dalaran Crater. It's the reward from the final part of the Peacebloom vs Ghouls quest chain/mini-game. The daily after the chain can be done for achievements, but atm it's bugged, so I've been playing it most of the day Also, according to TB, this pet will actually sing

And OMG, IT'S THE RED WARPIE! ONLY TEENY! Where are those at?

I think that red warpie is just a critter, not a vanity pet, but I would LOVE IT if that changed!

Make it a quest reward for something in Uldum, maybe?

Or better up, blow these up to proper mob size and make them tamable! ^^

Yeah, it's definitely just a critter, but I'm sure people would like to go visit them on beta.
