I got Madexx! And on the morning of my birthday too! This thread works...
It's a miracle I didn't have to camp for long at all. I wanted brown but the red is really pretty too <3

I think the red one actually looks great with you! Red seems like a very blood elven color to me, so he really looks good with you.

I was debating wether to check for Karoma or Madexx. My head said Madexx, because it's so easy to check for him, but for some reason I decided to go to the Twilight Highlands. I checked the far east point and saw nothing. The point north of that was clear, as was the point near the arena. Well, it was looking like I wouldn't find anything again... I checked the spawn point near the hills, and counted off the normal number of red dots. Worg, worg, worg, Karoma. Wait, Karoma?!
Here comes the fail. I looked around franticly until I realized I was right over her, landed, switched specs, clicked on her, hit the "Freezing Trap button" only to realize that in this spec that button is Arcane Shot, put down a real ice trap, mistook the Feign Death button for the Tame Pet button, feigned and subsequently broke the trap, jumped up, and just smashed Tame.
And she's mine.

Passed the 24 hour mark. Helped someone get Jadefang. Here's hoping. C'mon Scorpid...

glanced at the thread, figured my luck had to get better, and lo and behold as I flew the circuit, just east of Crucible NPCSCan blared at me...I quickly hit the nameplate and Karoma came up as alive. Nobody anywhere nearby as I did my tame and spirited out of the zone as to not confuse any others hunting for her.

She is now named Shoshi after my parents' American Eskimo that passed away in 2008 after living for 18 years. I bonded with her during my time in college, and she was never happier to see any member of my family than she was to see me. Even after being away for years, she would get excited enough about my arrivals when I would come to visit for my parents to have to put her out in the back yard and I had to go greet her before I could greet my parents and siblings. My wife tried getting another Eskie a few months after I had moved up to Michigan from Oklahoma and Ciani and I never bonded, in fact Ciani bonded with her daughter. Anyhow, here's the shot of Shoshi (Karoma) and I in Darnassus.

Heck yeah! Got him at 5:10PM server. Madexx didn't come in the color I want but ... black is kinda cool.

Hmmm No luck yet. After a few 6 hr on and off of camping. Not even a trace. Maybe if i roll around and hug the thread. *rolls around in the thread of magicalness* *hugs the thread of magicalness* ( Is Magicalness a word?) Will keep searching wish me luck!

Found Krush...dead in the 10-15 min between my sweeps. ;;

WHOOO just got Karoma. Spawned at about 9.19pm server time on Blackrock US at 53.4 76.1. Lucky I'd chosen that spot to afk and he spawned below me Just Sambas and maybe a blue Madexx to go.

Oh no. D: Well, at least you have a spawn timer. And congratulations on karoma! While I may look out for a green or blue Madexx, I think the black one is growing on me a little. I see him as a grumpy old man living in the desert. Perfect for PvP.

Edit: AND he matches the black on the kind troll hunter from yesterday tamed.

I like my red Madexx but the blue is soo pretty as well. I have one spare spot in my stable currently but may clean out some other pets that I no longer feel "yay" about...

Hour 1 of my hopeful all-nighter has passed. Several more hours to go. Think I'm going to keep editing the post at each hour. Hopefully I'll get him tonight........../prays /hopes /crosses fingers & toes. This takes me back to my KK days.

Hour 2: Not as many hunters in Uldum which is good. I ate my dinner quickly, fed my snake, and finished my laundry. I think I'm feeling okay for now that I can last a few more hours flying in circles. However, this nagging feeling in the back of my mind tells me he's going to spawn mid-day tomorrow. Maybe it's just paranoia. I sure hope he spawns before I fall asleep on my desk.

Hour 2.5: Crap, I don't think I'm gonna be able to do an all-nighter. It's only 2:00 a.m. and I'm already feeling really sleepy and incoherent. I"m going to do my best to hold out til 4:00, but then I"m going to give up and go to bed.

Have a sinking feeling I'm not going to be bringing Madexx home any time soon.

Hour 3.5: I'm so tired that I'm not even paying attention to my route anymore and getting disoriented. I desperately need sleep so once again I am logging off empty-handed.

/sigh, maybe next time (I'll be saying that for months, I just know it)

Me and a fellow guildie hunter was doing circles around Madexx's spawn points and she messaged me, "DEAD". Of course, I am like, "....what...?"

She was nearing the spawn point closest to the river when her NPC_Scan went off... and saw it lying there dead... I had just passed that spot about 20sec earlier... and then to make matters worse... a druid swooped down and skinned it... this all happened within a minute or so...

It is VERY conceivable that this is happening a lot with Madexx and that's why people are having a hard time finding him. I would have never known that Madexx had spawned if my guildie wasn't there doing circles with me.

It was even the green one...

I have noticed for the passed 4 days that Madexx seems to spawn around the 24hr-ish mark from it being killed/tamed, but I would really like to know if it can spawn at other times.. like 6 hours later? 8 hours later? 10-12 hours later? Or is it always around 24 hours?

It's so sad to think people are killing it too, when it doesn't even drop anything and there's no achievement. I would be more than happy to give someone 1,000g to not kill it, but I guess they'd rather get the 25g gray item. I'm guessing many people just don't know they don't drop diddly squat, which sucks.

I wish I could tell you. I tried to pull an all nighter, but I started feeling dizzy and ill -- and I value my health over a game, but I saw mine at the 28ish hour and thus it is likely I missed a spawn. Still, it was fun General chat cheered me on. XP I think I'm gonna keep my black Madexx and name him Grimm. And I asked politely in general, telling people were no blues or achievement points and that I would be most grateful if they let me have the tame (I would've tipped them gold or herbs too).

Six hours since kill...sticking it out until nine.
