Good luck Eleos and Knowlton! It's a headache of a camp. Me personally? This is worse than when I was hunting King Krush. Ugh.....my butt twitches just thinking about that accursed desert.

Gonna go to sleep for about 5hrs to recuperate a bit from being up 35hrs straight camping here for Green... Will be back around 11:00AM to begin my camp again. Ugh.

WOOT! Finally found and tamed my Bronze! He spawned RIGHT on top of me while I was just sitting at the northwestern spawn point. I was eating lunch when it happened and I had a sandwich in my hands when NPCScan exploded. Got mustard and mayo all over myself when I jumped. lol.

But yeah. I'M SO HAPPY!!!

Congratulations on your madexx! He's mighty. And good luck to those still sifting through the sands.

Let me first say that I pretty much hate people with the story I'm about to tell. Well I don't really hate them. But it just kills me while I'm out looking for a desired rare.

The past few days I've been considering taking out this girl to look for Madexx casually. This usually means that I end up spending days obsessing over spawn timers and such. It happens with pets that I only kinda want. I am just terrible with this sort of self control. Anyhow, I wasn't feeling well last night. And leveling Arch on my main was just making my headache worse so I decided to pop onto this toon to look for Madexx. I told myself I'd be happy with any skin though my Favorites are Black, Red and Blue. I ended up just camping out while I chatted with a friend that I hadn't talked to in a while. I went to bed with no sign. Oh well.

This evening, I hopped on my bank alt to check what she had sold, switched to my JC alt to run her daily, and decided to jump onto this toon to camp a bit while I alt tabbed. I literally zone in to a flashing screen and a cute little picture from my NPCscan. It's Madexx, and I think to myself, "No way in hell is that actually him." I have to become extremely discouraged and lose all hope before finding any given rare. I click my NPCscan image, and sure enough it IS him. I pan my camera around to see a gigantic, red Scorpion with a Triangle over his head. I quickly dropped down, dismissed my Krush, and began the tame. It went off without a hitch. Now I'm a proud owner of a Pretty Red Madexx.

It's so funny that I should find the red one as I never intended to tame this guy before his red skin was discovered. I liked his Black and Blue skins, but my stable really couldn't manage another pet. But I did really like the red and told myself that if I ever found it, I would tame it. Now it's time to pick out a fitting name.



Don't hate me, guys. I know there are so many people out there dying for this guy. I've had my share of camps. In fact, I'd say in my almost full stable of rares, I've had 3-4 tames that required little to no camping. I really do feel ya'lls pain. Keep at it! And you'll finally get him!

I was told by a guildie tonight that while she was in Uldum people were talking about my hunter in General Chat and one person even said that they have killed Madexx in the past just so I wouldn't log in and tame it...

Most (if not all) of them have no clue that I have tamed the brown version, and I am silently looking for the green version (would take blue or red at this point, I guess).

The guildie said that I was brought up when someone else asked why Madexx never spawned, and someone replied that Madexx was hiding from me.

That is how much I have been in Uldum.... notoriety by proxy.

I have resigned myself into playing other characters and logging into my hunter every now and then and do a few laps and then log back off... I can not handle another Aotona-like camp (7 weeks of evenings...), and the way I was headed was down that road... almost 3 weeks so far.

Omg Bundia! Your UI! It's purple! What do you use / can I get that skin to go with SpartanUI?

I still have two reds in my stable... and a bronze. Sigh. I just want a blue

Took a moment to appreciate Vulkoor's colors today. The red on black is so stunning, and it's kinda glossy and has a sheen to it, too. He's beautiful. I re-named him from Ebonslash to Vulkoor (it was Vulkoor originally...go figure). Vulkoor is the Drow scorpion god, and my guy is just awesome enough to be named after a god. /lurves Vulkoor

Didn't think I could love anything but green, but this guy is just so nice-looking.

I don't think SpartanUI will support it, but I use Sunn Viewport and SunnArt Packs. It's called Redstream. I saw it on a wow.curse.com addon pack. It's a part of a Warlock Pack, I believe. And then I pretty much changed the frame colors on xPerl to match. I basically went through all of my addons to color coordinate. Lots of pinks, purples, and blues. I have spent too much time on my UI. I'm always looking for something new.

And thanks for the gratz! I ended up naming him Tefen. I actually really like him. But now it's time to get my other hunter leveled up so she can take over Terror Spinner. Gotta start moving out some pets to make more room.

1:20 a Hunter came along and popped out Red Madexx, checked on Armory, Madexx was already in the stable and level 85, still named Scorpid.. So I know it wasn't just tamed.

Officially 24hrs since I last seen Madexx. Still out here camping. ::sigh::

Only found mine a few days ago but Madexx was one of those rares that just happened to show when I wasn't camping him (you've gotta love those ones). On my daily run out to Uldum I thought I'd do a quick lap to see if he was about and there he was by the river. I swooped down, pulled extra aggro lol (trapped him) and then let Madexx beat on me while I tamed him.

I was after the black or red one but ended up with blue and I think I'm quite happy with this one so I think I'm done.

I've seen him killed twice, both times by other hunters. Glad it wasn't a color I wanted.

8:01 AM came around he spawned right under me... Unfortunately he was Blue, no other Hunters in the area so I tamed him though.

Blue is a very coveted color Eleos, you are quite lucky to have nabbed him! Congrats on your new friend and I hope you enjoy him, even though he wasn't the one you were looking for.

And grats, Blackthorne! Wow, lot of people getting blue lately. I hope Blooddsurge gets his also.....

Sigh... I like Blue....

But if it wasn't for the fact that I mine like crazy in Uldum, I'd give up the search. One day I will find Blue or Green.. Uldum is just too good for mining to give up completely. But only gonna AFK camp and drive-by while doing mining laps.

Thanks, I'm beginning to like the Blue one very much and growing to like the black as well. Still want Green or Red badly though. So the Hunt continues.

After taming Sambas, Karoma and Ghostcrawler all since Sunday I was ready to just grind the gear for hcs. My brother became obsessed with Madexx, taming the blue and the bronze He's been bugging me to tame one too, saying how awesome he is (my brother is austic and goes for anything thats super cool whilst Im a fluffy kitty kinda hunter )

Anyways, today he's bugging me to log on because I logged out in Uldum - I had been posting in the where is the rare pet thread begging for a Madexx so my brother could tame the other colours (he wants the collection). As I log on a friend is discussing the stood in fire achieve and asks me if there is any sign of Deathwing in Uldum (a very popular 'oh lets flame everything' zone on my server) and I spin round on the spot to a HUGE blue scorpid looking at me. I yell to my brother that Madexx is up but its the blue one he has. He tells me to tame him because I will like him - but I have full stables I look through the pets I have with me in a panic - Krush, Sambas, Karoma, Skoll and a Beetle I had just tamed and loving. Inc ally mage so I dropped the beetle and tamed this awesome looking scorpid Very kind mage watched then left

I think I'm in love - he's adorable with Pet-emote! However, I think I would prefer the green as everyone has the blue on our server - my brother gets alot of comments on his bronze as people think it only spawns blue lol. BACK TO THE SANDS! wish me luck, I have the very addictive Madexx madness

must say the bronze DID look sharp next to sambas
and a green to a be(oppsing faction) hunter

I like to know is the brown Madexx the most common spawn color. I seen him twice now and each time he spawned in the brown color.
