's okay, Kalli, I hope I didn't sound harsh about the correction, I didn't mean it if I did. :)

Edit: GAH! Tyger, I didn't see your apology till just now! Gomen, gomen! x_x

Is there a way to get it to say "pet" instead of "Crocolisk" or "Bear" you know the pet's family name? Also it caps the families names for some reason even though typed emotes don't after /pe.

No worries. ^_^ I understand how frustrating it can be sometimes when someone gets your name wrong. That's what I get for quickly skimming things. >_<

 I was frustrated at first, I admit, but that quickly turned to amusement when I remembered that episode of Masters of the Maze. Geez, now I feel old. >_>

Just a heads up that there has been a new update for PetEmote on Curse Client. It's only minor bug fixes so let us know how it goes :)

Also had some word from Efindel - from what I can tell he's been away for a while and his cat died from cancer recently *hugs for Efindel*. Both he and my brother, Ethan, are now working together on the coding.

And Falcon, I love your dire horn ideas :D

Sorry to hear about Efindel's cat. :(

I'm glad that your brother's been helping out, Varethyn. :) Many thanks to them both!

I'm sorry to hear about his cat, and that's great to hear that your brother's going to be working on the coding!

Thank you, I'll always be happy to be able to contribute to the project, but since the PTR absolutely refuses to even work for me, I'm going to have to wait till the patch goes live before I can work with the dire horns in hopes of writing up any more emotes for the family. *sigh*

I've been currently working on writing up some emotes for the serpent family (trying to strike a balance between the cobras and the arcane wyrms), I feel that they're currently a bit lacking with what they have at the moment.

I don't see any update to PetEmote on Curse. It still has 1.8.1 as the latest version.

Just poked the brother about it. He says it's an Alpha release, which is likely why not everyone can see it. It's not an overly essential update as yet anyway, only a few typo fixes in the coding.

And if you don't mind, Daniel, I totally stole your avatar. *Squeals over OoT Link.*

Yeah this is all I'm seeing also. I do not use the curse client and never will. *shrug*

Sorry for his loss.

Poor Efindel. Losing a pet is hard. :<

So sorry about your loss.

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... "

I never really noticed before now, but now that I'm aware PetEmote works on Warlock demons and DK ghouls and such, I wonder when those will get some updates for cleaner-flowing emotes and typos, too. I mean, I know this is primarily a Hunter forum, but pets is pets, right?

*nods to the first post* They haven't been neglected; look at all the work put into them, primarily from Teigan. If you've spotted typos and such, then you should post specifics so they can be fixed. :)

Due to loads of stress from trying to find a house and due to terrible (noisy at 2AM) tenants in the next apartment over, my creativity hasn't been up to par lately. I've only managed to write up two emotes for the serpent family, but I'll be sure to update this post if any more come to mind. My apologies.

Serpent emotes

Serpent coils himself/herself around his/her master/mistress and
-- lays his/her head on his/her master/mistress's shoulder.
-- gives him/her a gentle hug.
-- glances around, looking for signs of trouble.

Serpent raises the first one-third of his/her body and
-- eyes (friendly/neutral target) warily.
-- regards (friendly/neutral target) curiously.
-- hisses threateningly at (hostile target).
-- stares at his/her master/mistress.

Also, this is probably just me, but with the recent update to the emotes for the cat family, I've found myself disliking the emotes that have them yowling. Part of this comes from me missing the meowing, and I also feel that yowling isn't the right word to use here. Whenever I think of cats yowling, I think of two or more cats getting into an argument, which can get pretty loud. Again, this is just my two cents.

I am stepping down as lead writer of PetEmote for the forseeable future and passing the reigns to Varethyn. She has shown great talent for writing solid, good quality emotes that would be suitable for a large audience and capture the essence of the beast. She has a working copy of the Editor and good grasp of how it works. I am confident that she will excel in this role.

As she will be taking over, she will be starting her own thread to post her updates and this thread will be locked. You will all still recieve credit for your contributions on her thread :)

Its been wonderful working with all of you. Farewell and good hunting!

Thanks Teigan for your immense amount of hard work here, and for allowing Petopia to be the home of your add-on. :) 68 pages... sheesh!

I'll leave this thread open for a few days but will eventually lock it. I had considered seeing if there was a way to transfer ownership of the thread to Varethyn, but with 68 pages it's probably time to start fresh anyway!

Varethyn, once you start a new thread, please log a report message or PM me and I'll sticky it for you. :)

I've said my farewell to Teigan privately, so I'd just like to say that not a word of that has changed. I'll miss RPing Ursa for emotes, though. :)

I cannot say I'll ever be as good as Teigan was at this, and my days can be scattered by things spontaneously. However, nervous about it as I am, I am grateful and honoured to have been passed the reigns. I will do my best to keep PetEmote alive, functional and, most importantly, fun. Once I have a free day where I can sit down for a while I'll get the new thread up :)

Thank you so much for your effort and dedication to this amazing addon, Teigs. You and Jorna did so well together and you continued to do well on your own despite all the complications. Have a great, well-deserved break
