This is an awesome idea! Hmm, if I were going to do it with my lair...I'd probably have my tundra Dumbledora and mirror Bundini in the mid range, a crap ton of fae and a few spirals scattered everywhere, and in the background my guardian Ihaia's...legs :)

In short you save the dragon's image, open it in an art program (I use Paint Tool Sai) and use the multiplier mentioned in the thread to resize the image.
Oooh! This looks like fun! It would be nice to gain some perspective on how my dragon's compare to other clan mates of the same species.

I knew Spirals were one of the smaller breeds of dragon but dang! I had no idea they were that small! They're just teeny-tiny little rotini pasta dragons aren't they?

That's very interesting Varethyn! If I get time I might play with it.

bought a triple Caribbean star/con imp for makoes.. but I noticed his/her (sorry not sure of the pronouns) dragons were hungry... anyone know if she/he still plays?

As I said, if you guys are interested but don't have time/knowledge/programs to do it I can do some for you  But it is very fun to see for yourselves too if you can. If you don't understand how it works I'll try to explain that too.

Doesn't have to be different breeds either. These are all the skydancers in my main lair.

And the biggest and smallest male and female for ultimate comparison

As for Makoes, I can't say sadly. I rarely visit the Show and Sell thread any more so I don't really know who plays at all.

If you got the spare time I would love to see one of each breed from my lair! Your choice :)

Makoes haven't been to show and sell lately. . I give her a few days else i just send the dragon to a mafia

I'd also like a selection from my lair done, if someone has the time, your choice, although I would like to see Lace included.

I used random.org to pick four random dragons each, to go along with Lace as requested and Jill as I thought was appropriate :) Let me know if you'd like more dragons in the pic!

Tarn: Jill, Sparks, Bow, Hargrim and Juno:

Dewclaw: Lace, Malik, Beauty, Pan and, amusingly, an Unnamed wildclaw youngling

Hehe yep they are. If this proves to be interesting enough I'll make a separate thread for it later on :)

*bambi eyes* what I'm envisioning is probably a right pain--5 fae, 5 other smaller dragons, with the guardian cropped. I'd give you links for all the dragons, if you think it's workable at all.

Question: Do I round off my dragon's length for the math equation to work right? I'm pretty sure I have to but my brain is drunk off the dumb-dumb juice today and I'm having a hard time figuring it all out.

For example, the first dragon in my lair, an Imperial named Leonidas, is measured at 29.71 in length. If I do the math as it is explained in the tutorial, 29.71 x 0.38 = 11.2898. I wouldn't have a clue as to how to convert that into a pixel size. I suppose I could round this number even further to 11.29, which would convert to 1129px. Would this be the right way to do it?

But if I round the length to 30 and do the math again, I get 11.4. Analytically speaking, 114px seems a lot more reasonable in terms of scale but also ridiculously small for an Imperial dragon.

Somebody help me please because my brain hates me right now.

You were correct in your first guess :) Round to the nearest two decimal places and then multiply by 100 (or multiply then round, whichever is easier to process). Leonidas should be 1129px  Rounding the dragons' lengths does make things easier, but takes away a large amount of variation from similar sized dragons.

Thank you Varethyn. I appreciate the help.

Here is a size comparison between the largest and smallest dragons currently occupying my lair.

You can zoom in (x2) from the icon in the upper left hand corner to see the actual size because Arawn is such a big boy!
