I doubt that. Way too many complaints about them still. They still have issues balancing the vanilla classes.

Like I said - resolved by then, or written off by then... like many issues that have been with us since vanilla.

Either way, we will just have to see.

Yeah. But knowing Blizz, they will bend to the cries on the forums.

Exactly. They will never fully balance the classes without completely homogenising them. It's simply undoable. Which is not a barrier to introducing new classes, because that would mean no classes at all. DKs are at least comparable to other classes on balance scale right now, so they can probably try out a new one.

Monks without psionics are even more bland - it would be very hard to create an interesting gameplay mechanics to draw players to that class. In Brewmaster's case, however, mechanics write themselves.

Um considering the DK is the only heroic class we have, thats all we have to compare them with. So to say its the least comparable is kinda false and that is a barrier. Why? Because they had such a hard time(still do) balancing the DK out.

You know it's true. They think the forums are the majority.

I think he meant that the class is AT LEAST (as in, sorta... kinda... you know) comparable in balancing terms to regular classes.

Also, I play my UH DK just fine, I do well, I make top of the meters, and no one calls me out on using a 'noob' spec, like what happened with BM in Wrath. That to me is good enough to call relatively balanced. I don't take into account Forum whiners. They're the noobs that cause balancing issues b/c they request outlandish ideas and nerfs.

I'm still extremely happy that the 3 hunter specs are at least in line enough for all 3 to be competitive. From what I see on my battle group, (which I consider a fair measure, as we don't have nearly as many noobs/'forum whiner' types in randoms and around in general Ally side), just about all the specs are balanced enough to consider adding another hero class if they wish. I don't see anyone picking and choosing and whining over what type of tanks or healers, or even DPS specs we get, we just group up, get work done, and say farewell. If there is ever anyone slacking, or falling behind, it's on them, either being new to the class/spec, or just being a less than average player, not b/c of what spec they chose. I'm not sure what happens in other battle groups, or even in more 'Hardcore' situations, and for that matter, I don't care. There are more casuals that play than hardcore, so if the HC raiders want to pick and choose and be douche bags, then I just don't pay any attention to them, and watch the rest of the community doing well in whatever they choose to play.

I think it depends honestly - when forumgoers have some massive common reaction to a recent game change, they tend to listen (generally, somewhat) and take some sort of action.*

But when people are going off about some longstanding issue, then... not so much, no.

They're already working on the next xpac, meaning suits are involved, and that means potential xpac impediments that fail to pass a very serious litmus test (e.g. pretty much anything besides servers down, latest patch not working, etc) are going to be shelved for later.

*Although even then it's not always what the player majority wants, else we'd still have tamable worgen...

I almost couldn't give a damn what the next expansion is as long as there isn't more freaking dragons. They're cool to look at, but the fights are ALWAYS THE SAME.

I would honestly, probably kill something small, cute, furry, and innocent if we had playable dragons.

This cracked me up! :)

The dragons will steer us through 5 patches worth of troll raids as we systematically obliterate all the great troll enemies and their gods... Resurrected for the third or fourth times.

Old Gods wont be stepped away from. Why? Thats the deepest plot of WoW. All these catastrophes are linked to the old gods. They're trying to destroy the dragons. So this wont be the last of any of them.

You will think the old gods have nothing to do with the panda story line..... then blizzard is going to be like "ya the old gods corrupted the bad guy" then we will all be like excuse my language "the fuck?"

You resist. You cling to your life as if it actually matters. You will learn.
All places, all things have souls. All souls can be devoured.
The void sucks at your soul. It is content to feast slowly.
