Maybe you should change the name of the fake one or something. Call it 'Fake' so that when it pops up, you'll know about it but you won't be disappointed after you've found the statue.

Or use an updated version of SilverDragon, which identifies the reals from the fakes.

I kept clearing my cache after the fake camels, the fakes are 25g for the dust and with 30 dusts that was a nice chunk of change for all my troubles. You can also check to see if it's the fake or real one by checking in your interface > addons > npcscan and checking the lists of npcs ID's. the one ending in '09 is the real one.

Right, I've got a question to ask because I can't seem to find much information about it - Cyrus the Black in Uldum for example, does he share a spawn timer with the Camel Figurine or not? I killed him about 3 hours ago, so I'm wondering if I should go back in say 2-ish hours to see if anything is there...

Other news is I got the Corrupted Fire Hawk tonight! That made me smile, as last week someone thought they'd DPS the left leg to 'even the boss out' for the Rhyolith achievement - actually failing it for 3 of us in the end. >.< At least it's over and done with now though! Still missing a few from the T11 achievements which we'll be doing next week. [[Al'akir heroic = hell ._.]]

Here's my update for this week so far:

Atalanta's TLPD hunt is still somewhat on a hold. I log into her from time to time if I'm watching Family Guy or eating dinner just to keep an eye out for 10 - 30 mins and then I log back off. Other than that, it's the casual sweep around Storm Peaks for the time being. At least until Shansa gets the Camel - that will be my priority for now.

My Guild is going back to Ragnaros HC this week and beyond, so it looks like finishing off T11 achievements for the Drake is on hold. I miss just ONE achievement, and that's the heroic council in BoT which, in my old Guild, was impossible with scrubs. ><

This is my 10th or 11th dud figurine I've found with Shansa now, I'm starting to expect it's the fake one each time my NPCscan goes off. I suppose that's a good thing, means I will freak the hell out if it ever actually is the real one! xD

Oooh best of luck with Rag HC. I can't imagine doing HC rag yet.

What I think you could do, is rename the DUD camel figurine something different (like DUD for instance for the NPC ID #50410) then I think when NPCSCAN pops, it'll pop the name of whatever you named it.

I could be wrong, but I think thats how it works, then perhaps you wouldn't be frantic as much when you come across the DUD.... but then you'd be very frantic once you saw REAL or whatever you would name the 50409

I know this isn't really anything special but...

I found a dead Vyragosa when logging into Atalanta today, right by Frozen Lake. I'm glad it wasn't a dead TLPD, but... that marks 16 of the blue-troll dragon now.

Shansa found TWO Armagedillo's today in Uldum... bah. Not a single Camel Figurine for the past couple of days. Getting rather sick of the scenery there. :/
