how are you getting lists of these creatures in MoP beta zones that arent even open yet, like Vale of Eternal Blossoms and Dread Wastes?
if you either work for Blizz or know someone who does and they are telling you, i dont care, but i personally would rather not see these before the area is open whether they are tameable or not. the only reason i read this is because i thought you posted newly discovered creatures in open areas, and i thought i had been everywhere that is open, which obviously i have. but part of the enjoyment of exploring this game is discovering new things, which doesnt exactly count when no one but Blizz has access to unopened areas yet.

While I understand this, if you read it on this list first then you're not discovering it, regardless of whether the area is open or closed. If the area is closed then your only real problem is frustration from waiting till it's open.
Besides that, the forum is full of datamined things reported from MMO-Champ and other sources. If you don't want to find out anything about closed zones then this forum, and any big WoW news source, is probably best to avoid right now. The beta is one huge spoiler really, so I don't believe there's any reason to be apologetic about this.

Alright, so I just spent a few hours putting images to names (I cannot thank you enough wain for your images) so almost everything has a picture now. I just need to go through Kun-Lai again and match up pictures to the ones that don't currently have any. I'm also thinking if making some thumbnail images for the beasts that will most likely never be tameable (and thus do not have images on the site).

Was it reported already that Fen Striders are tameable now (a long standing wish of mine has come true \o/)?
I just tamed one (it is exotic). It is of course a lot smaller than the wild ones, but still twice as tall as my undead hunter.

Yes, they will be part of the
Water Strider family.

A gyreworm I noticed wasn't on the list. It's a quest summon and currently classed as a humanoid, though that's obviously wrong. It may end up as elemental or beast (like the Kyparites currently are).
Norvakess <Terror of the Dread Wastes>, level 88 elite amber gyreworm. Summoned for (and just prior to) the quest "Terror of the Dread Wastes", which is actually in Townlong Steppes.

I also don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, but remember that green kunchong (mantid tank) I posted a picture of a long time ago? Its name is Voress'thalik and it was classed as a humanoid. Then it vanished and was never spotted again. Well it does still exist, it's a spawn during two quests in Townlong Steppes. Presumably they were testing the second quest when I originally spied it.
In the first quest, "Hostile Skies", you're stuck in a cannon with a vehicle-style interface. You have to shoot a bunch of flying adds down as well as Voress'thalik. During this quest it's actually flying in a most unlikely way (to borrow from Douglas Adams,
"in the same way that bricks don't") and looks rather like a weird squid:
During the follow-up quest, "Devastation Below", you have to go down to the bottom of the canyon (same spot I originally saw it) and finish it off on the ground. If it was ever made a tameable beast (dare to dream) this is the phase you'd be able to get it. Here's a shot:
I'll report the mis-classification of this one and the humanoid gyreworm to Noah.

I have never seen a mantid fly. Now that I have, I can't stop giggling!
P.S. *sigh* (unrelated) Please stop making me consider old world basilisks!

Yours looks really nice on that grass!

Found a new one to add, though not likely to be tameable. It's called a Shallows Hydra, but it uses the arcane wyrm model, off the coast of DW. It also spawns a new one every time it dies :/

What an odd choice of name...
Better than a giant patrolling shark on the coast though.

It's almost fitting in the sense that cutting off the head of a hydra makes two new heads grow in its place so killing one should actually result in two hydras. The wyrm model is an odd choice given we've already got hydra models in game.

Yeah, I'm wondering if the model is a mistake. I've asked Noah, but he hasn't yet responded.
