The other thread is only active because people keep posting in the wrong place. ;) (That's not a dig at you; you're hardly the first. xD )

Realized I should have included pet names, so here's a revised grid. I'm pretty sure this will be my final loadout.

First of all - thanks to http://pixlr.com/ for their online image editing or this wouldn't exist!

Second, my tentative stables:

Image

Maggie is named after my beloved black & white RL kitty and may be replaced by the rarespawn white tiger. We'll see!
(And yes, I know it makes no sense that my Sambas is female. She's named after my boyfriend's female maine coon and... well that's my only reason really. >>; She's a magic female maned lion!)

Round 2...

I think these are a lot closer to what I will get on release. I decided to delete my 81 mage (lolmage) and do another (-_-) hunter, Pandaren. Her stable is completely hypothetical at this point, but I think I want it to be Jade forest theme, greens and browns etc.

Edit: Quillen are driving me insane. CANT PICK JUST ONE.

Edit 2: Already changed things again. -_- This one should be good for at LEAST another 15 minutes. At least.

This should be the final version:
ImageImageImageImageImage Acorn (88 TLS), Atta, Bamboo, Blossom, Chanterelle
ImageImageImageImageImage Clover (87 KLS), Daffodil, Dandelion (90 TLS), Hazel, Holly
ImageImageImageImageImage Liana, Lichen, Lily (85 JF), Lotus (90 VEB), Maple
ImageImageImageImageImage Morea (85 JF), Mum, Myrrh (89 DW), Nightshade (87 KLS), Orchid
ImageImageImageImageImage Patchouli*, Rose, Sargassum (88 KLS), Tulip (86 KW), Willow
*Ghostcrawler image courtesy of Spiritbinder

Edit: Basilisk ability bothers me more than I thought it would, replacing with a Pandarian turtle.
Edit 2: Added levels and zones for Pandaria tames.

Well, I had a bit of a crappy day and decided to remedy it by doing some serious soul searching regarding my stables. I ended up cycling lots of pets out. I've realized that my favorite models are *not* necessarily the ones I like best... some pets I've tamed in the past have had definite personalities that I miss, whether I particularly like their look or not. Raven, formerly Snarler, for example... I like the Northrend brown worg more. But I tamed Snarler at level and every time I release him I run into him again. I just can't not have him, apparently. And Mazzranache was the first pet I ever tamed after hitting level 10 (not counting the dragonhawk I used as fodder during my trek out to find him.)

I also made a few new tames for various reasons, which I hope to explain in the pet appreciation threads in the next few days. Especially Cliff the Bear and Notchfang the Warpie - those two were total surprises.

Also, I made the mistake of previewing Patrannache in WoWhead's model viewer. Sigh!

Having rambled on quite a bit, here is my new grid:

Image

Of course, we'll see how "permanent" it is. The ones with red stars are for sure. This time I ordered them by favorite to least favorite, regardless of rarity. So the top row are the ones that literally bring a smile to my face every time I see them and so on. Though I still very much like the last row or orange stars too!

The pluses are ones I never use but for various reasons I'd like to hang on to. ? is one I don't know if I'll keep or put in the can get rid of section. I know my shale spider still doesn't have a name, but they've really haven't let me know what it is yet.

edit: Wolf and Wolf are actually same pet. One is when he's in his spirit form they other is when he's in his regular form. Yes, his name is Wolf, he's named after the Wolf in Wolf and Iron by Gordon R Dickson.

Right...I decided to delete one of my lowbie hunters as I wasn't feeling any connection to her, and have thus needed to reshuffle and make some serious decisions about pets. Still, I find it so hard to cull the stables...

I *think* this might be the final layout for MoP. Red stars mark the going-nowhere-ever pets.

Since I'm *finally* done with my table 100% now (Honestly, I've been working on this for months. It took ages to decide!) I thought I would show it off here.

- Kiba used to be the purple version of Portent, but I decided that I'm more of an 'organic' person and liked the animalistic quilen better than the stone ones.
- Pestilence used to be called Desmond and was the white version of the diseased bear found in Tirisfal Glades, but we didn't click.
- Omega (The red Madexx skin) has been out for ages but I *still* don't have him!
- I'm still unsure whether the amber scorpid skin is tameable or not! People say yes but Petopia doesn't have it listed as a tameable mob.
- I never intented to have a specific stable theme like some people have, but yes, there is a lot of purple/black/dark colours in there. But that's just me. I like purple.

Edit: Oh, and in case it isn't obvious enough, blue is for male pets and pink is for females. xD

Yes, I've tamed it in beta. I believe the lowest level it can be tamed is the level 89 Kor'thik Scorpid in Dread Wastes.

I envy all of you that actually have free slots in your stables right now.

I don't even have any pets that I am thinking about ditching so I can tame new ones.

The only ones I would even consider letting go are (well maybe....) two of my three Madexxs, Blue, Black, and Red... I would ditch them all if only I had a green one.

I might do a stable grid later... but I don't give my pets names nor do I give them sexes and they are no back stories on how we met other than "I spent hours, and days, and months camping this one... and I really like it."

=)

Meh... here it is...

I always have to have at least ONE open slot... never know when a Green Madexx will show up.

This is a new, revised stable for Daphine. Not so sure if the devilsaur or worm will make the cut, never really found them a niche. And dang it, I just cannot decide on a goat color! The crab and raven are both iffy but I want to see them in-game.

Thank you very much! :D I have the beta but it's uninstalled and don't plan on installing it again, so I never got to find out for sure. It's such a relief though, I love that scorpid to bits!
