Wow, the tracks I found had him crossing the stream but in a different direction than Samskeyti's tracking.
Oh dear...

*stares* If he went up to the Pools of Purity....I don't even. Could be a second path, could be an alternate loop. Stompy covers certain areas three times on his path, but sometimes takes small shortcuts within those areas. Pat could be similar or entirely different.

No my map isn't that accurate, at the time I didn't draw the line as he was walking, so he is crossing the stream where you say, I just wasn't as clear where on the map. So yours is the one to go from
Is noone on Meccatorque of you? I haven't found any hunter yet that wants to explore these things, they all just want to find and tame the beasts.

After reviewing all the evidence, all the screenshots and stories, I have decided this is his map:
Seriously though, I am making it my mission to flare him, mark him, and follow him this weekend. There will be a map by monday, i swear by the old gods and the new.

Haha that made my evening
Well, that flaring and following was my plan for the past 4 days *grins* I wish you better luck

TROLLBIRD IS TROLL!
This is my very very very loose map of Stompy and Bristlespine's paths. Again, these need accuracy checking (I forget exactly where the summit is on the map, for example). Stompy is light blue, Bristlespine is dark blue. I left off labels and such since this is a rough map; don't want it being used as complete!

I'm with her. XD It took me a minute of staring at the loops and whorls before I went 'wait a second...'

I'd believe it... weren't we deciding that crane can just up and fly right over our heads?

So we just had a server restart, which means all the rares should be up, but no one alliance side can find a feather of Patrannache. Did anyone grab him horde side on Lost Isles?

So basically... he goes everywhere

geez.. who's bright idea was to track one creature throughout an entire map again?

You're lucky it's not a flying spirit porcupine that doesn't leave tracks

*eyes George*
*notes lack of tracks*
I would cry if that happened. T_T Especially if the porcupine's name was Sonik. >_<

Now I'm imagining what damage a flying porcupine could do in Pandarian air space. With all those balloons floating around...

the day is mine, troll bird! camped your troll feather butt!
I got Patrannache marked, following now, getting hundreds of screens, over 2 hours of slowwwwww following... entire map coming soon.
his path is HUGE and goes EVERYWHERE. dear god. it took me an hour and a half to follow his entire path. i had been following for probably an hour before that.
some of his turns are gradual, but i noticed a lot were almost 90 degree oO
tracks float on the fog in singing marshes. i imagine will be fixed to be under the fog and harder to see ><
he pats through/near a lot of flutterwing critter packs
when he swims, underwater tracks seem to float in the middle of the water.
his path is the same regardless of the direction he travels (yes i followed him around the map twice). i followed him for about 65% of his path, and then he suddenly changed direction on me and started walking back the other way (i assume he changed direction at a spawn point?). I followed back around the same 65% to get the full map. OCD much?
funny thing is i flew by kallee and pat walked right by her south of stormstout brewery. i waved, i poked, i pointed at parannache, i flared him, i dont think she noticed lol. pat also walked right through some hunters camping him, i kinda felt bad but the map is worthwhile in my opinion. amazing how sneaky he is. tiny feets, tiny prints. walking back along his path, I passed Kallee on the return trip, same place, still she missed me lol
as a present for myself

so now I got a lot of work to do to make this map...

I've completed
a video guide on tracking and flaring that will hopefully help a few people.

I'm adding the link to the first post as well, so it won't get lost.
<3<3<3 Quiv! I was tabbed working on the above video and didn't hear the flare. >_< Just as well, though, since he was safe in your capable hands.

Thank you so much for tracking him; it's a relief that he was just trolling.

Ok, my writing is rediculously tiny by the time i was done resizing so heres what it says:
Control Center: "zzzz Your going down too fast! Pull up!!"
Porcupine: "YOLO!!"
Control Center: "..."
Nyan Cat inspired btw. RAINBOW GLIIIIITTTTEEERRRRR
