Ooohh... I've just seen the new animations for these guys. The running is... odd... but the mountspecial looks awesome.

What is the mountspecial? Somehow I can't find anything that would suit in the wowhead model viewer menu...
As for the new run - it would be perfectly all right (just like the druu deer forms are) if it wasn't for the spiky hair on it's rear. Still, I prefer the horse(?) run it does while flying.
Also he's wonderfully animated. Dat ears,,, and whiskers... and tail

And that iddle animation when he stands to attention lifting one leg is simply EPIC!
I don't care where he comes from (but dear God, let it be AP), I am getting him immediately!

The mountspecial is it rearing up and sort of spinning around in a circle. Looks a lot less stupid than I make it sound. There's videos on YouTube. I'd link one but I'm deadly tired right now. x_x

This. Is. Amazing!
Gimme! NAO!
Finally a flying mount that is as well animated, compact (I soooo much prefer small mounts), badass and rough-adorable as my beloved ram. My dwarven huntress main rejoices!

Yeah, that's the video I was talking about before.

Love that mountspecial!

Tho the run animation is a lil fast, I do like it. I like that it runs in the air too, wished Tyrael's charger did the same. Now if only they had an unarmoured version...can't hardly see the scales it has now.

I really, really want an unarmoured version. *crosses fingers* The model's so beautiful and detailed.

Ditto. I love the animations but so far I'm not all that fond of the model. :/

I do hope they fix how much the player is jerked back and forth when it runs.

The running animation on the ground is hilarious, in a not-very-good way. It reminds me of a kind of "bucking bull" caricature, with the animation quality of an old 1930s Disney cartoon

I know that sounds mean, and I try not to be a bitch about the talents of artists, but I know it was better than this, and it surely has to be a bug as it is now

There's a couple of mounts that do the same thing:
Swift Mountain Horse
Headless Horseman's Steed
And possibly others, though these are the ones I notice most. In the air? Graceful. (Well, with HH anyway.) On the ground? Crazed hyperbucking superspeed run.
The windsteed probably has the same bug because they're using the HH mount rigging. Will they fix it? Well, they haven't yet and it's been two expacs, so you're probably stuck with it.
