Nocturnal just means that you're most active during the night, not like they are vampires. And if you travel through Night Elf lands you'll always notice it's always in a state of twilight.

Still being nocturnal they would not like being awake in day time well not for long periods of time anyway and would still find the sun harsh so i would asume they would complain about it when they are out side of there homelands.

Well that's just their history, game wise they can't really only be active during the night. Their society and such still revolves around the night, moon and other stuff nocturnal. And they've also needed to adapt after being drawn out of seclusion.

Yeah hes an amazing voice actor the one troll voice that gives me the ultimate chills I LOVED that instance so much.

In terms of the race's age Tauren are said to have been around since the creation of the world, so I'm not sure if Trolls are necessarily older/younger/similar age. There's nothing solid on who's older since it's all speculation/myths/stories anyway. Same with the whole Night Elves branching off from Trolls theory. There isn't actual proof, it says as much in the bit of literature mentioning it in game, and while it may be quite likely they'd never want to admit it. I'd doubt Trolls want to be related to them either since they gave them such an ass whoopin'! :p

This piece of early Night Elf concept art shows the original intent was to have them much more savage than they ended up, so it could lend credence to the claim that Blizzard viewed the Elves as descendants of the Trolls.

Hmm... a few questions...

What's the horde/ally balance on Nesingwary? How often do you have WG?

What's the raiding environment like? Anything happening 7-10 PST?

What's the AH like?

I suppose I should roll an alt there and check it out.

The one thing I like about my current server is that there is enough raiding 7-10 pst that it's not too hard to find a group for something. But apart from that, I'd be ready for a change... (Would mean leaving my pally behind, at least until Cata where he would become a Tauren.. But I would have issues being in groups with undead rogues... I hate undead rogues... really really hate them...)

I couldn't really tell you about WG or raiding stats for Nesingwary as I'm not involved with either. Still, overall I love it there. The AH I found to be slightly overpriced compared to my old server, but I don't think it's extravagant.

You're probably right to roll an alt and take a quick look for yourself.

I really should roll a toon there. But I have such a hard time away from my home server.

Well, I'll still roll an alt to check it out, but the numbers don't look good. Ally appears to be over horde 6:1 or more, so not gonna have WG too often, unless you've good a really good Horde crew that goes in there an wins it a lot. CST is a problem for me too, unless there are a lot of night-owls.

I'll have to roll an alt still and have a look.

I would, believe me, but for me playing with my loved ones is more important than my faction, so I suck it up. They've always said the Horde leveling areas are too "icky", so I'm hoping Cataclysm will change that. Well, but even still, all our RL friends are alliance too. I'm the black sheep, I guess. Baa.

Night Elf males have lower fangs, if you look closely. Tusk remnants, perhaps?

I'm probably just being stupid now, but I can't see it. If you mean the thing at the back of their lips, I think it's just a vein or something.
