Just worked on getting Kung Din for well over 5 hours and still no luck. Plenty of NEAR successes, but so far, no result. x.x I've been recording my attempts in hopes that one will finally succeed.

But as for tonight, it's time to call it and pray they don't hotfix it (if they haven't already).

Thank you for the update on this, glad to hear it's still possible.

Been at it 16 hours now and no success.... any extra tips would be welcome.

Reason why kung is so hard is that you can still get stunned when hes in a cc. I've been getting that for a while know. Latency can screw it up too.

P.S. Old Azeroth buff pets are a confirm.

The stun is easy to get around if you just wait and start taming right upon exiting the stun phase and have the Tame Beast glyph. Kung just seems to be extra picky about the timing. x.x

Stun definitely not an issue for us... we have split second timing nailed now with every attempt "almost" there. Frustrating.

Kung can be ice trapped, as well as put to sleep for the tame. We -just now- was able to pull off the tame, and also just now able to do it for my friend as well.

Party up, get in a duel, get Kung low, 3% if your doing it with lowbies, 7% to 12% is safe for higher levelers. Wait for him to finish mauling then place down a trap, if the trap breaks and you have your sleepy sting, use that instead. Tame. Have buddy aim to kill, it needs to be a one shot kill at 0.5/0.7 secs on taming. If you have lat then try and sort out the delay, watch the bar from the time you click to the time the kill happens and try and time your attacks to be that much earlier.

Good cast bar mod for it.

Span the rez pet macro as the other guides say.

I can confirm, IF THE TAME WORKS
The pet will 'die' and vanish, as if being revived, but revive will fail, and it will say you're pets not dead. RELOG if you see a 'NORMAL' cat on your char screen on log in, you're pretty sure it worked, once in game the pet should -not- be dead, but not summoned. Call it, and if all the luck in the worlds on your side it'll have it's chain.

Same goes for all the other tames.

Also be sure to take human error into account when figuring what time in the tame to make the "kill." If you keep seeing the flash, it means the kill was too late. If the pet physically dies before you can complete the tame, it means the kill was too early. Every HUNDRETH of a second matters, so adjust accordingly. Based on a recorded attempt of mine, I was literally ONE FREAKING FRAME too late. Ugh.... It's the clostsest I've been thus far.

Where are the squorpids that keep the sha touch on death?

Ik'thik Terrorclaw is the one that keeps its buff after death. Seething Fleshripper is much easier to tame, but does not keep its buff after death.

Well, I've literally been at Kung Din the entire day and I'm about to lose my help. If anyone that has successfully completed this tame would be willing to help, I'd really appreciate it.

It took us over 6 hiurs to get the timing on Kung, it's such a small window and both of you have to be doing just the right thbing, spaming the revive macro, killing at the right moment, it's all timing.

We're both in the same room, so we actually simultaneously keypress every time, mechanical keyboards, we have cast action keybind on keypress enabled, and I use auto hotkey to spam revive macro... could not humanly match the precision that it spams with.
Still over 16 hours for failure.
Believe me, I'd never ask for help if I could help it. :)

Just used the kill methood to get both the oil wolf, and oil hawk from tundra, once you sort out the timing the methood becomes rather easy. Got both in less then an hour.

I apologize for spamming the thread, and I hope that this won't be considered lowbrow; I am quite desperate.
I've been sitting here for over eighteen hours at this point, trying everything mentioned in the thread and then some. I've got very low latency (between 30-50ms) and at this point I'm dual-boxing another account to hit the killing blow, though I'm stuck with a mage (no good hard hitting execute ability).
I will happily pay someone that has successfully completed this for help with either Kung Din, Colbite Matriarch, or the Ik'thik Terrorclaw. It's a long shot, I know.
This is definitely not what I want to spend my Christmas doing, and I'm pretty convinced that it's going to be hotfixed before the stars align for me. :)

I have created a guide thread to document the taming method here:

Thank you very much for the guide.
However I've been employing all these methods unsuccessfully so my offer still stands.

I just thought I would remind people of the burning boars from Mulgore. Maybe that will work on them.

Equeon#1161. Send me a request, and if I'm online, we'll see if this works.
I'll be on and off throughout the day, most likely.
