I spent more time than I want to admit testing all 400+ toys on them.

True Love Prism leaves a buff on the panthara. Probably nothing.

Rainbow generator toy caused the panthara to despawn once. Probably nothing.

Has any one tried getting two hunters together, and having one of them hit it with counter shot while the other tames?

They don't cast anything, so I don't think that would stop them. Besides, it would be an unnecessary burden to have a Hunter need another Hunter in order to tame this.

I've spoken to two hunters who have the yellow panthara. They both timed it first thing when the servers were up. Bug?

[edit]: Neither of them had to do anything special to tame them.

spoke to one who tamed one about 4pm eastern on a main, ilvl ~868, but couldnt manage it on their alt... So, dunno.

They were bugged. Have been bugged for all of the ptr. Were briefly tamable this morning before they were fixed.

There's a rare/elite monster nearby. It's a fog beast that casts some kind of tar expulsion spell (swirlies on ground). Maybe kite a panthara through those swirlies? Not sure if they will path far enough.

That was determined early on to not work. Besides, there are Panthara in the Antoran Wastes and Mac'Aree. No tar in those zones.

Has anyone tried getting a mage to polymorph one and see if that works?

Just got a mage to try it with me. Didn't work - Same message.
Also tried drinking a drink from the Emmisary lady called "Sunglow" a faintly glowing beverage - same message.

I think they tested the meat and the feast that it makes. All it does is make your character puke and does nothing for the panthara.

HMM. I wonder if that response should be taken in a literal hint sense, as in the method is definitely within a hunter's arsenal (or perhaps requires at least 2 hunters to do), or if it's just a general "keep trying, you guys will figure it out".

Now I'm trying to think of what 2 hunters can do that 1 hunter can't....

Also they said Hunters.

Could be DEMON hunters.

There are several mobs that don't cast but can still be interrupted (SBG mobs, caster/summoners in the Highlord Kruul/tank scenario (pre-mage tower), etc). Not saying that that's the case here (I'm pretty sure folks have tried every variation on interrupting), just being a pedant :P

(My hunter is trying out the "stay off of Argus altogether to tame panthera" strategy, I'll let y'all know how that works out for her :P)

Yeah, but that usually involves applying a debuff to the mob that silences them, thus preventing casting. Hunter do not have any abilities like that, excluding stuns and such.
