Pet skins that are still untameable

Wow the list suddenly got a whole lot smaller, hehe.

And to think these are the ones that I had listed because either they were in the database but not in the game or were only on colour-changers at some point. Any skins that were newly available skins from the start of beta aren't even included. That's an incredible number of skins.

I split up the cat skins by individual model again so it's easier to see which skins are unavailable for which models. It's now very long, but suddenly I have more room to do that

Might wanna link to the interchangeable skins I posted back here for when you are talking about missing saber skins and missing normal tiger skins, just so people can see the difference. =)

Is that odd undead-looking Sporebat in WMV counted as an unused skin, or is it just a texture of some sort?

Since it follows a different naming convention from the other sporebat skins (map_sporebat_diff vs. SporeBatYellow, SporeBatGreen and SporeBatBlue) safe to say it isn't a stand alone skin that we will ever see in game.

I really, REALLY want to see them make the Hawkstrider models tameable. I love Tallstriders, Mazz really made me adore them and I've always loved the blood elf mounts, their vivid coloured feathers.

It looks 'unfinished' to me. Is it possible that's what a sporebat looks like without the 'glowing'? It does look kinda neat, though! And poor sporebats do need more love. .... well, OK. Maybe 'love' would be an overstatement if one looked like that.

You need the quest A Different Approach http://cata.wowhead.com/quest=26954. After you use the druid to pull them down it is as easy as pressing the Tame Beast key.

Is this quest available to Horde and Alliance? (The Wowhead page doesn't say right now.)

Can you have someone else with the quest use their druid and then you tame the bird? (And I use bird advisedly.)

YES, it works on PTR, just did it for Slickrock, so it's good for Alliance too.

You have to use the NPC to aggro the hawks, then you can tame. Nice thing is the NPC is inept, so he doesn't damage them much if at all.

And yes, this will be the FIRST thing I do when the sunder hits, no idea how long this will last.

Oh, and dear Lurker... please leave this in game, at least for a while..
