Seilahyn wrote:So I finally got to see my character in WoD style. I'm quite happy with her. She doesn't look as happy, but that doesn't bother me too much. I'm not one to walk around smiling all the time, anyway. I was looking at the new emotes (well, same emotes just updated) and noticed she makes a really weird, funny face while dancing. Sorry if this has already been posted, I haven't been following WoD very closely.

I laughed. I love it.

I laughed my ass off first time I saw it. I think it got fixed in recent builds, though. Let me verify for you!

EDIT: Not fixed yet. It seems a lot less severe than that, so I'm fairly sure they're working on it. :)

Aww.. there's something about it that I love. I feel like she's almost being sarcastic or making a joke of it.

I really like the changes to Draenei females body stucture. She seems to walk/run so much better. It feels much more natural. Even her stance is less painful. She also seemed to get hippier, which I like. I did side by side comparisons. I'll post them for anyone interested, but I'm sure they've been seen already.

As far as the Horde side goes, I'm actually liking more of the female Horde races now. Before, I couldn't play Horde because I didn't like any of the female races. I had made Belf, but it bothered me how thin they were. I had made Tauren as well, which were probably my "favorite" of the Horde side... and that's picking the best of the worst (to me). Pandaren made me actually roll a Horde char. With all these model updates, I think I can say that I might actually make more Horde side chars. I've always wanted a Horde Druid/Shaman to mirror my Alliance ones. Can't wait til we have them in game and I can play with the character creator.

Oh wow! They look great!

I really don't know, the female draenei is still too swaybacked/lordosis-suffering for my personal tastes, and she still has dead snake tail. I was really hoping they'd fix both of those but it doesn't look like they're going to.

I suspect my girldrae is going to get racechanged to a nelf. (The new nelf ladies are great.)

I'm still a draenei fangirl. If draenei can be the class, draenei it is. Worgen was my second go to, although I do wish they'd fix snarling chihuahua face and humungo tits. These updayes are actually making me want to play other races, but the draenei ladies will still be on top. I'm torn if I will do troll or tauren druid; orc or tauren shaman. Orc ladies really look good now.

Can't wait!

I wanted to roll a female troll priest, but those warts...eeew. I hope that the 'cute' face won't have them
I love all the new models so far, expecially tauren (of course <3) but I hate how the new dwarf male face looks like (I mean the latest update from the beta). But then again, maybe they're still working on them (hopefully).

Female dwarves look good and just need some touch ups. The current build's male dwarf seems bugged, as some of their noses are stupidly massive now. They look all bulbous and miss-shaped.

I also think female humans could use some major work and fem goats have some serious duckface. All the other races seem fine to me, but then again I don't really play them so it doesn't bother me as much.

So glad to hear it's probably a bug. The whole face seems inflated

The female dwarf face looks really good.... but the hair makes it look REALLY weird. Is that just me? I play 3 female dwarves, and honestly if things go live this way, I would scream everytime I see them on the select sscreen.

A lot of the new hair is a HUGE improvement over the old, in terms of textures. Most of the textures and colors are way better than the ancient hair the old models currently have. Okay, I'll admit some of the hair styles didn't quite take the transition to HD as well as others. What I'd really like is MORE hair style options.

Something I've noticed with the new models is that some lighting (especially indoor lighting) makes the models look really bad. This is way more noticeable with the higher fidelity of the new models than it ever was with the low res old models.

My only disappointment in the male troll is how hunched over they still are. It looks a tiny bit better. Maybe. But. :(

Zorbrix wrote:I just wanted to confirm that this build will have 5 new Player Character Models. Troll Male and Female, Human Male, Tauren Female, and Night Elf Male.

We've mentioned this before when models are first shown to you folks in beta, but I wanted to stress this point again: These models are a Work-In Progress. Things will not be perfect, and our QA testing of these models (and the subsequent bug fixes) are not yet complete.

I do hope you enjoy the models and give constructive feedback as appropriate, but please keep this is mind when looking at the models today.

If anyone on Beta is willing, I'd love to see some screen shots of the new trolls in action, please, please!

Not sure if it was posted elsewhere, but here you can take a look at the nelf male face (really bad quality but better than nothing :))
