Hmm, that's kinda hard to answer in one post XD
First of all, layers. You can use layers to paint and doodle one one layer without going over any of the details you drew up on your other layers. Say you do some line art that you like and want to colour, but you don't want to erasing that line art while you're colouring. If you put your colour on a seperate layer, you won't have to worry.

As for your other questions... well, there's not just one good answer to that. So, here's a link to some Deviant Art tutorials, have a look and see how other artists do it. And just play around in it for a while! Even if all you're doing is looking at all how the different brushes work, you're learning. That's how I taught myself anyway. XD

So, after a few months of thinking about it and not doing anything, I'm starting up my Hounds team (based of a few of my RP characters for those not in the know ) Seventeen just demands to be let loose on unsuspecting trainers.
There's only a few problems: What to do with the last two slots, and should I try and grind for a Shiny Electike/Manectric for Seventeen?

Heh, I should try for that Hound team. XD With the exception most of my Pokehounds are Hybrids!

But still... I need to run around more so those two I dumped in the Day Care get XP. >>

*hugs her AR* I have a shiny Mewtwo with a Rash nature and a Glaceon with a Docile nature that I'm going to include on my team to take out the elite four in Diamond. Just have to get them up from level five, hehehe.

Oh I hear that. In a way, it's quite fun to try and find something semi-viable. (So long as you're only looking at fun battles between friends and in-game crap)

So, I've decided on my two extra hounds! My pack will be:
Seventeen the Manectric
Venin the Vaporeon
Gamin the Mightyena
Baaz the Arcanine
Korok the Granbull (Who I was actually considering introducing to the RP when Baaz left to join with the Dawn. I figured I had enough characters though. )
And a currently unnamed Leafeon. Possibly related to Soren.

I'll be working on getting them today/tonight. Will probably save seventeen for last, as I'm pretty sure I want her as a shiny... or pester one of you AR owners for some help. XD

Well, only if you don't mind. Alas I'm kind of a bit specific about what I hope to make Seventeen, and I know Makoes has some issues making shinies with a certain nature. I don't want to cause too much hassle. XD

Basically? It's a cheat code holder that lets you use the codes in your games. For instance, I have a code that I use to capture whatever pokemon I want in Diamond, including pokemon from the original games, and another to make it so that they are always shiny.

You can use it for a ton of different games.

Guuuhhh. Trying to level a team that won't listen to you is infuriating. Hopefully getting Gardenia's badge will solve this. It's gonna be one fun gym fight, though, seeing as I chose Piplup as a starter and he's the only one that'll obey me. >_>
