Troll females really are amazing.. Regret not making my warlock a troll.

And fem tauren. Really love their run animation, but wish they didn't have their mouth open constantly.

WOO. Those trolls look amazing. The ears on the males don't look near as bad as I thought they would in game. They still look a little flat compared to the female ones and the orcs, but they is pretty nice. I'd love to see some pics of their hands and feet too on the males. The females are super amazing and I'm hoping that the males will look just as good.

Their hands & feet don't look as detailed as females though; maybe that's just temporary/a WIP?



As opposed to:

Seeing the ears from a topdown/front view eases my worry about them since that Arcraft and I'm really thinking that the hands and feet are still WIPs considering just how detailed the fems look in comparison. They've given the female a literal ton of TLC and it shows.

Edit: Even the textures don't look as high def between them. So I'm pretty certain now that they're still working on him! The females look nearly 100% done on the other hand! All seven of my various trolls are gonna look astounding.

I actually just edited in a comparison of the hands/feet because I totally see the same thing.

Could someone list the faces from the selection screen? Like, compared to current female Troll face choices, which is the new version to the old? (Does that make sense?) I want to premake a character, but not knowing what the faces will look like stops me. I'm so excited I want to create one now, use my 90 booster and be ready for WoD.

Honestly all female troll faces look outstanding with the update.



(Sorry the hair color is off, but everything else is the same.)

Keep in mind they're mostly still WIPs; they may still make some faces closer to the original, for better or worse... The noses are all the same right now for example, which is definitely subject to change judging from other races. (except #5, she has a larger nose.)

Love all the new updates except male night elf, not impressed by it (but it's still ok). Probably still WIP, though!

This is the 'cute' face on live.

Thank heavens they removed that stupid, vacant look on the cute Troll face. Two of my many Trolls use that face for RP purposes (they are younger than the others) and I absolutely hated how brain dead they looked all the time. This new face is damn gorgeous, although I admit I still prefer the more weathered faces (with warts!)

That hairstyle is really nice now, thanks for linking it Tenryu! I may actually be able to use it at long last. <3

Female trolls are just freaking AMAZING! Though as much as they have fixed the run a little considering how stiff it was, I think it could do with a little big more work. I guess they are trying to maintain the essence and feel of the original, which I think is awesome, but it's one area with the female troll I wouldn't mind so much if they relaxed on and tweaked a bit more. Especially compared to the Nightelf Male running animation, they feel like they run VERY different.

The rest of the nightelf male, like Tenryu, I'm a little underwhelmed with, but only a bit. I don't mind them, but after trying to create one that I liked this morning, I REALLY struggled to find a Face/Facial hair/Colour combo I was enamored by.

The Dark blue Hair now is very bright, where is had a much darker look to it prior that I really liked. And a lot of the facial hair options kind of look like they are just coming out of no where/a bit stuck on. I quite like me a good beard, but only one of them looked cohesive, and it's not the one mine has so not sure just yet. Anyways, work in progress and all. They look WAY better, just have a much bigger jump in their "Feels" compared to the female nightelves for me, and not sure in the best direction.

Male worgen are all kinds of effed up... skintone wise anyway. It used to be there was a good spread of color, now it's basically 'any color you like so long as it's white-boy'. My friend, who has a dark skinned worgen, is really upset about this, and my worgen (once tan) is now so white he'd blind people on the street. Here's the comparative screens between live and current beta.

The faces for the Night Elves looks like Forsaken/Wretched imo.

I have seen other comments that the darker human males are paler than their live counterparts. I'm not sure if this is in the underlying art or that it's getting too washed out. Hopefully they've noted it and will make adjustments though. They really should reflect the range that is represented on live. I know my white Tauren when translated to the beta looks like he's made of plaster. Rather clammy and creepy rather than standard white fur. I'm hoping they'll make him look less washed out too.

My tauren shaman on live has the black and white colour, but the new model is actually white and grey...it's not an issue for me, the new model is so good that I really don't care, but it could be a bit darker IMHO.
