Today, I randomly saw a porcelain zebra. It was a weird looking zebra; it was brown, light grey, and white. It stood out for how weird it was, yet it was endearing. I managed to find it by googling "Soviet baby zebra figurine" after seeing a... very questionable image on Twitter, and it was ALMOST enough to make me want to buy one to have on a shelf. I don't collect figurines, so I figured "Why buy a zebra when I can just make one?", and of all the things I chose, I chose Flight Rising since I thought I could get close to the design. After trial and error, I found one I really want to make;


The genes are Antique Tapir, Dirt Blend, and Tan Thylacine. The genes aren't a problem to get (well, I have less than 1m treasure right now lol), but the color combo... none existed on the auctions. I purchased two dragons with two of the relevant genes each (both have antique primary, one has dirt secondary, other has tan tertiary), and I'm gonna pray that I can get this somehow. Breeding pair are nocturnes right now due to cheap breed scrolls (had to change from two different ancients), but Mirror with the above colors? I'm gunning for this. Unless there's an easier way than this, which I'd be happy to learn. Unfortunately, no combination of genes could get me a head that wasn't "bald", but I don't care. This is aesthetically pleasing to me.

That's a really nice project, Were! After a quick dragon search, turns out there are only a few with those colours on the site at all, with most being in dead lairs and the rest clearly keepers. So breeding is the only way. Speaking as someone who goes through a lot of projects, the only way it could be made easier is by making them Starter breeds for shorter breeding CDs and/or grab more pairs to try with.

The writer of a Fodderlocke I follow decided to give their cast Cirrus-sonas, which I thought was a fun idea. I'm not going through everyone (yet) but with how well she's doing and how attached I'm getting to her, I decided to do one for Daleth. And... wow. It's not fully matchy but this is really pretty I think.

Which secondary is best? Sarcophagus or Blend? She will be a perma pearlie hatchling

Hm... tough call. Sarcophagus really pops and matches the Dark eye type, but Blend works nicely with the mix of the primary colour and Opal. Also saves gems.

Heh when I first decide gems and money isn’t a problem. I lean towards the Sarcophagus as it makes it darker... but I am not sure
