Stupid question, but wouldn't destroying Decay's soul shard kill her?

Well, she'll still have the rest of her soul? I always imagined a soul shard to be just part of the soul, otherwise warlocks would be a little overpowered.

Mmm, that's true. I just wasn't sure how adversely someone would react to a piece of their soul being destroyed.

I am kind of curious as to what would happen. I don't intend to keep Rose a slave to Sabra for forever (or at least it wasn't my plans intentionally, we'll see how things pan out), but I haven't been able to figure out a way for her to be free of Sabra's control without destroying the shard. I guess I just sort of naively assumed breaking the shard would kill them. >_<

You can reason that Decay's soul is already shattered from undeath, if you want to. That'd make it necessary for Rose to find another solution.

That's true. I wonder...is there a way to return the fragment of soul to the soul's owner, or is it just break it and be done with it?
My brain's not feeling very creative right now. -_- I can't think of a way around breaking it. Rose isn't nearly as strong willed as Decay; I think if her shard broke at this point, she wouldn't necessarily die, but it would probably incapacitate her.

Maybe you could ask Saturo to un-drain it or something. That's all I can think of at least. She's the only friendly warlock around, either way.

Yeah, or maybe Faron can get her to do it since Rose is on a leash (which reminds me, I forgot I had Sabra put one on her >_<).

I'll be alive again at some point - working on traditional art, for once. Painting!
Also, I completed one of eight bone ring sets. I love them already. (Not real bone, baked clay, but they're still cool. To me at least. >.>)

They're not cool to me until they're made out of human skulls. Seriously, if you decide to make some out of humans I'll buy.

How's painting going? Is it Faron? A lightningwolf would be a perfect piece of 70's art.

It's a horse skull, actually. I want to do a set of five paintings, for each of the horsemen. I'm working on Death at the moment. Then Pestilence, War, Famine and Chaos. I'm not sure if Chaos is ever really mentioned as a horseman, but Terry Pratchett includes him... xD

If I ever find a way to get human bones... That would be amazing. I still need to look into that.
