I don't mind exaltation, but why do it when the dragon is pretty? I was selling a few Pearls that I decided I didn't want to keep anymore at 10k. There were DG Pearls less than my SG ones! Mine were bought and exalted...why!?

Lightning and water flight are duking out dominance and it seems as if they were buying any and every dragon to exalt. Sold a spiral for 9k that got exalted. One of my own flight bought a dg pc from me on the ah and exalted. It's a little annoying but it was awesome seeing dragons go for much higher prices and, ultimately, exalting of all species needs to start happening. It's a little annoying if the dragon is pretty, but I'd much rather see dragon prices go up and get paid a higher amount of treasure.

i hate this too.. but there are to few buyers now a days the player base seamd to have decreased..

but it such a shame to see pretty dragons being exhalted..

Probably because water and lightning were fighting pretty hard over dominance, both were going nuts and buying/exalting or buying/leveling/exalting dragons.

We pushed the hatchling price up so hard. XD It already crashed again though. When I went to bed there were 6 pages of dragons at 8k with nothing priced lower. When midnight was getting close both sides were pushing super hard because it was fairly close the whole week.

Trying to exalt more dragons this morning for profit....and I am waiting to exalt anything till I am done bonding because of all the shuffling that happens when dragons come in or go out of your lair.

Mistakesssss. Aagh. Can't wait till this shit is fixed.

Yeah, I hate that whenever you add a new dragon to your lair, it not only drops them in random places (USUALLY the front page but not always) but screws up the entire order of your lair.

Annoyance rage.

And I dislike the exalting mania too but at this point I'm kind of like 'well, at least I got 9k for it instead of like 4-5....'

I finally got an egg in coliseum...and it won't let me hatch it!! I get an error message.

Hisssssss WC person hasn't gotten back to me yet. I'm dying to know if I can buy that WC. >.< Of course, this means I get to use all my treasure on Nef imps, but I at least want to know if I should be saving for the WC, too!

the site seams very unstable lately.. the last week there been atleast once a day where i cannot connect.. and there isnt alot of users on... and no communication from the fr crew...sgih

And tarn, the lack of communication from the FR team really bugs me. No word on fixes, which is worrisome, but also no word on upcoming exciting stuff, so nothing to look forward to....

They did finally say in a newspost that they know runes is broken and they're working on it.

All of the sudden, I have no treasure. xD Well, technically I have 190kt. But 90kt of that will be going towards that WC I so want, and 100kt will be going towards that gorgeous snapper.

...Which leaves me with no treasure for the mid/mid imp that I'm determined to get.

Luckily, all these purchases can be staggered across a few days. It just means capping Lucky Streak for at least two days and hopefully bringing in some hatchling income.

What the fucking fuck? Do they seriously see nothing at all wrong with the current economy? And fuck all the elitist assholes that keep insisting that it's only a player created problem and that FR isn't a breeding sim it's a pet collecting game. I'm sorry, a fucking pet collecting game is something like Magistream. Fucking hell. Why would the FR team go through so much fucking trouble to make such an extensive breeding system with so many different fucking colors and genes and shit if we're not meant to breed our dragons and sell them for some sort of decent profit. Them and their little white knights need to get the sticks out of their fucking asses and figure out what the hell they really want this game/site to be lest they start losing large chunks of the playerbase that don't have their heads stuck up the admins' asses.

I don't buy the bullshit that we're only meant to breed the fucking dragons to try and create pretties for ourselves. Like what the fucking shit is that supposed to mean? Especially when there's a lair cap of 99 dragons and exalting dragons is worth spit. Why the hell do dragons breed more than one egg in that case? And why the fuck do they all have different rarities with increasing expense if they're only meant to sell for pennies? Why the fuck is anyone *really* going to want to go out of their way to buy a fucking 200kt+ scroll for a stupid dragon when it's 10 times easier at this point to just stalk the fucking AH or put word out on the forums to get an already rarer dragon. I'm about half ready to follow Otis and just say fuck this game and abandon it. Thank god I never spent any real money on their fucking bullshit.

Wait, what? The lair cap is at 99 dragons? But there's 148 familiars.. Sense: none made.. Hope they decide to expand that, and reduce the lair expansions by *a lot*.

If they don't intend for breeding to be the main source of player income they need to introduce an expansive variety of other methods, or change the game itself.

Neopets is the first comparison that comes to mind, where there was an entire world to explore, lots of dailies, random events, stories and plots, a plethora of games, and a large player driven market, among countless other things to do. The problem is Flight Rising would need years to build up that sort of game, so unless they want the site to stagnate I really do hope they'll look at alternatives and let us at least get something more from Exalting, which seems like the best "fix" right now. Gives us a more stable bottom value for dragons, with variables depending on breed and genes. Exalting needs to become a more attractive option.

I feel like they're trying to do two things at once and can't decide which type of site they want to be. Neopets didn't have breeding and you couldn't exactly make money from your pets, but they were there to collect and dress up and save up for paintbrushes and such. That seems to be what they're implying they want us to do, save up for pretty dragons and outfit them to our whims. The difference is that Neopets had ways to earn money in order to accommodate that. Right now FR is just stuck in a sort of limbo where the economy is dropping and there's no treasure going around to fuel the luxury purchases like scrolls and genes, nor is there a point to do so when AH prices are at an all time low.

It's just all very messy, and while I have fun on the site, my will to log in every day and grind Coliseum or Fairgrounds is quickly disappearing. They're just not very appealing as a sole income source.
