Rise of the Shadows!

[Azunara]

Xeyvron watched the Dawn carefully, and Lukria had taken to the air, flying low over the small group of Dusk. Solara was watching the Dawn, head tilted, baring her teeth. She wasn't about to attack, and she stayed quiet, but she definitely looked agitated. She muttered quietly to herself, "Liars. All of them."

She blinked at the sight of Aurora, hissing. It wasn't an illusion, was it? It smelled real. She was briefly surprised to see the seel had evolved into a dewgong.

Aurora made her way over, recoiling when she saw her mother. She looked at her sadly, but glared at the other Dusk.

[Senna-Umbreon]

Ghost blinked, flinching as she took notice of Solara.

"Meep..?" A little squeak came from behind Ghost, causing her to glance back at Rust, who was clinging to her tail. "Meep!!" The Cranievee squeaked again, staring up at the Dusk.

"Well what do you know. We FINALLY get to see some Dusk!!!" Virizion grinned, then shuddered, "... And one of them happens to be a GIANT fire-dragon.. Lovely.."

"Wimp." Terrakion said, glaring at his brother.

"I AM NOT A WIMP!!!!!!!!!"

"YES YOU ARE!!!!"

Cobalon sighed, then huffed, "WOULD YOU TWO JUST SHUT THE HELL UP?!?!?!?!?!"

Luckily for Cobalon, both Terrakion and Virizion shut up at that, though the two continued glaring at each other.

((Having these three argue and yell at each other never gets old for me XD))

[Moonlost]

Most of the humans flinched back from Buzzard, a few others grumbled angrilly to themselves and picked up whatever they could find tyo use as a weapon if he attacked. The pokemon accompanying them growled, staying by their masters and the children protectively.

Olga stood watching nearby, concerned for the people around her. Shyra, ever stoic, stood by her mistress, a small chirp echoing from her beak every once and a while.

Holly looked over at Buzzard, then back to Molly, frightened. "What are you going to do?" She whispered, afraid the dragon would hear her and gobble her up.

[Lupis]

Buzzard did not have his wings flared, and wasn't in an attack position. He looked over the Dawn and Sunrise calmly before speaking. "We have been sent to deliver a warning of sorts. Our leader, Scarab, has recently declared that the Sunrise have been given enough time to consider. I will restate our offer for the last time - join us, and help us with our cause, to unite all into one great family bereft of split loyalties and betrayals. It has gotten to the point where your continued survival in your current form is too great a danger for the masses of the people."

He took a breath, continuing before anyone could object. "I would like to make you understand one often forgotten fact - things, times, and people change. The Dusk you remember was savage and careless, existing only to kill. But, with time, we have changed. We have a reason. And when we kill, we kill when our hand is forced. When peace cannot be achieved. You have rejected us and our message, never giving us and our goal a chance to be proven. You reject us because of what we are, what we used to be. And when we attack, you slay us happily, forgetting that we are a family too - only mourning for your own and cursing US for being savage, while we are forced to leave our dead for the dogs!"

He slowed. "The Dusk are giving you yet another chance. Choose wisely, and for your sake, do not flaunt the fact that you can cure us with all your crystals. Not only does the Dusk run far deeper than simple infection, but you will soon see that there is a small flaw in your plan."

He gave one final message. "You have until the end of the day. I am truly sorry it had to come to this, but you have given us no other choice. We cannot simply disappear and let the world go back to how it used to be. The world changes always, even when it changes from one era, to a golden age."

[Azunara]

"Pretty dang awesome," The psyceon said in reply. "Hopefully they'll take you seriously. And if not...Well. I'm not a fan of anyone who sides with the Sunrise."

[rubybeam]

"no. i'm sorry I won't join I like being a sunrise scout and you all know that..." cherrie stated

[Senna-Umbreon]

Rikki blinked, then stepped closer to Buzzard, looking up at him, "And what makes you all so sure that you all are BETTER for the world? If you had just disappeared in the beginning, all of this death and betrayal would not have happened. How can you just say that it'd be better if the Dusk ruled the world? It wouldn't change the fact that many of us have lost people we're close to." She shot a glance at Ghost, "And sure, a giant battle between us would just make things worse.. But that's the only way some would be able to find peace in all of this; to get revenge. Joining the Dusk would end horribly too.. Surely there are some who hate others, no matter what faction they are. And that would just lead to MORE betrayal, something you obviously don't want either!"

((GO RIKKI!!!))

[Azunara]

Solara snapped back, "It's not like your faction was doing any better. I've had friends turn on me. People I thought were siblings, allies, friends...they turned on me and tried to kill me. Not once since the Dusk took me in have I had to worry about being betrayed. While one of your leaders held me trapped and was torturing me, who was it that bothered trying to save me? The Dusk. You Dawn strayed about and did nothing! And despite feeling guilt, you still choose to ally with the Sunrise." She growled, lashing her tail, claws digging into the ground.

[Lupis]

Buzzard looked to Rikki. "Do not remember only history after our creation," he advised. "There is much more beyond that. I was betrayed, as were many others. We befriend members of two families that war against each other and are torn apart by their aggressions. Do not blind yourself by only seeing a hatred for us - look beyond that. Remember our world. It was not perfect as you say it was. It was not free of rebellion. My brothers and sisters in the Dusk have watched the Dawn and the Sunrise tear at each other's throats. Do you see such civil war in the Dusk?"
He paused.
"I understand what you mean about those who join the Dusk now. No. I don't believe all of them will be loyal. They will be torn between loyalties. But we cannot fade, we cannot just give in. As I have said, things have changed. The people you know have changed. Those who refuse our message once again.. They have chosen their own fate."

[rubybeam]

Thunder looked at the buildings ahead "If i'm correct thats the sunrise encampment" she stated nervously, they hated her the dawn at least

[Senna-Umbreon]

Rikki tilted her head, taken slightly aback, "Captured? I never heard anything about that. If it was the Sunrise that did that.. Then I highly doubt we Dawn knew ANYTHING about it. You can hardly blame us for something we had no idea about." She paused, looking back up at Buzzard, trying to figure out a responce.

Ghost flinched as Sol spoke, staring at the ground with her ears drooping.

[Azunara]

Solara growled. She really should've kept quiet, but..."No, you were too busy trying to kill my allies. You know, the ones that were trying to save me from death?" She snapped.

[Moonlost]

Baaz listened quietly, the snarl gone from his face. Never let it be said he didn't give Buzzard's words a chance.

"You are an idealist," He said after a while. "This is not meant as an insult, the world needs people who can dream of better things. I suppose I'm idealistic in my own way. But the problem is that reality often shatters our dreams."
The Arcanine sat down, watching the large dragon steadily. "You claim the Dusk have changed. That they're good people now who only attack in self defence. Is that true I wonder? Or merely how you see them though rose-tinted glasses? I know the Dusk, I've had it fill my veins, cloud my judgement. I've seen those experimented upon, witnessed their anger and pain.
"And what will happen if we do decide to surrender. Will we be suddenly and immediately accepted into our ranks, no questions asked? Will Solara there forgive her friends and companions, or how about Seventeen and those she holds a grudge against?"

He sighed. ".. You bring up valid points. We have been wrong to kill some of you so quickly, to snap at our own when the times are tough. But like as not, you would have done the smae to us had the positions been reversed. Not that it makes it right, but it would be hypocritical of you to think otherwise. And let us not forget that you're trying to get us to surrender our freedom to you, our ability to choose what we want. THat isn't something to be handed over lightly."

[Senna-Umbreon]

Rikki sighed, "I swear that I never heard ANYTHING about you getting captured. Besides, how can you expect us to save you anyway? You want us all dead! I wouldn't expect YOU to save me, so why should you?!"

[rubybeam]

Despite being injured earthia seemed to come out of the hospital still bandaged "I know not all of the dusk are bad but from what iv'e seen...." she looked back in her memories "that victini kid, she was slain by her own friend thanks to your leader poisoning it's mind, you only think one thing, you slay in your own defences" she stopped "My friend did you forget the original pokemon way!? we make them faint not outright kill them! those where the original rules put in this world there's no honor in killing, in the orphaniage also you just came in after me not caring about how much young lives you slaughtered there and then!" earthia scowled "you have to change your ways before I join you" she turned around her eyes closed

[Magnakilro]

Deoxys listened to the words. The Dusk were reminding him of himself when he was in a position of power.

[Azunara]

The psyceon growled quietly, "I wouldn't want you all dead if you hadn't been liars. I had been told the Dawn accepted me. I could trust them. Instead you hated and feared me. You tried to kill Soundwave and I. And it isn't until I could tear every single one of you apart that you start to feel guilty, then you start to feel sorry for me. Too late now."

She fell back a few steps, growling. She had to shut up, or this would spiral out of control. She cursed her temper mentally, glancing at Buzzard to continue. He was a lot better at this peace thing than she was.

With Earthia's comment, she growled again, "We didn't kill a single child. The Dusk wouldn't slip that low."

[Lupis]

Buzzard looked to Baaz now. "An idealist? Perhaps. But you cannot say that we have not been facing our own challenges. Yes, you had tough times. This I can understand. But the Dusk have been having challenges of our own. Torn apart, separated into lost fragments, we came together again, we moved on. After each loss we picked up the pieces. We did not roar and fight each other over whose fault it was, we simply accepted the fact that times were hard.

"And while you say I look at the Dusk too kindly, I reverse that unto yourself. The Dawn and the Sunrise continuously claim that you are fighting for the right, the best for everyone. Is this true? For much time you were trying to simply wipe out the Dusk like rats. Did you think about the fact that we make up much of the population of this region? Of many regions?

"And lastly, acceptance and free will... You do not understand the Dusk. Yes, as you mentioned, things were once much more ugly in our ranks. Yet that was when we didn't understand what we were, what was affecting us. Now we have learned to use this infection, store our rage for strength, not destruction. We've grown stronger, mentally, than we ever used to be. When you cower in fear of the 'voices', we listen and learn about what we fear. We learn about what others fear.

"You will be accepted as Dusk. Solara came after betraying us many times, but now she is my most trusted sister. Scarab trusts her as much as his lieutenants. We do not unconditionally trust, but if you are true and do not harbor ill intent, then we will accept you into our family. As for free will, who ever mentioned removing your free will? We are not slave masters. You will live your life as you wish. All we will watch is unfair allegiances. We do not want factions splitting us apart."

He was probably going to lose his voice soon. Still, he had to respond to Earthia.
"I apologize for the deaths we have caused. Unfortunately, honor is trumped by determination. If a traitor feints, they simply stand only moments later and continue on their way to give away all we know. We could capture them and hold them hostage, but that is a coward's strike. What else can be done? What would you do, if you had your child hidden away and somebody who wanted him dead knew where he was? Kill him, or simply knock him out and leave it?"

What about the human children who died by Dusk claws. Shyra said telepathically, her "voice" eerily calm. The parents stripped from them by Dusk looking for an excuse to shed blood. Some have repented their actions, others have not. Strange how those that have are now standing opposite of you.

"Solara....when you where attacking you were doing it so blindly that even children got slaughtered due to your actions from what ruupa told me" she looked at buzzard "I would just knock him out...it's the common way and only way to battle, fine if one holds information he shouldn't and lost then he keeps it a secret thats what should happen, killing is ending a life, preventing it to go to it's fullest, every creature has a soul no matter who it may be,feelings, a heart if you think about the person you just killed could of had goals to complete still and you prevented that, he could of had a family to just kill someone without thinking about it is more than blind.."
