Not too fussed about most of them, admittedly due to lack of stable space. Don't have enough room to hunt 'em all down! Love that they're implementing unused models with specific challenges however! Certainly may take a quick bash at Deth (and will likely fail horribly! It's the only shade of lava spider I particularly like) and Magria's colouration is more stunning than Gondria's to me! If she's not too heavily camped, will be taking a shot at that too.

A little 'daaaawh' about the lack of variation personally, but I'm not disappointed overall. Blizzard are really spoiling us and I'm really looking forward to watching others try to snaffle these pets!

The idea that Blizz beefed these pets up to prevent the Hunter's most hated adversary (a griefer who wants nothing other than to take a dump on a happy Hunter) makes up for the spiders. To me, it's a hopeful sign that rare and beautiful beasts of the future of WoW may be protected by the game until claimed by a worthy Hunter, instead of slain by some random jerk off.

I need Ban'thalos and Magria like I need air. Possibly Ankha too. DEFINITELY Ban'thalos.

I should really toss this terrible spider map I made earlier into this thread, where it won't be lost.



The exact spawn locations/paths/whatever aren't marked, since we don't really know what they are yet, but that's a general ballpark for people who are just looking to make sure they're in the correct part of the zone.

And can you imagine, if they manage to bring one down and only loot the Tear? All of that work and wall bashing for a measly 25g? Not even the people who Troll Hunters can justify the work effort!

I'm very happy and excited that Blizz took the time to invent these taming tricks for the new tamable rares. Hats off to you for that.

However I am really disappointed that there isn't anything new here besides the taming. Gondira re-skins, Olm The Wise V3.0, and 5 spiders... Where's the verity? Where's the unique "wow ive never seen that creature before" factor.

I really hope that the Hunter community both thanks and gives Blizz some guff about this. They hit a home run with the taming but struck out when it comes to these skins.

The spirit cats are not re-skins, but alternate versions that were created at the same time as the skin used for Gondria. They were put into the game likely due to the desire of the hunter community to see them. Particle effects aside, Ban'thalos has a much softer look to his model than Olm, so I doubt that's just a 're-skin' either. Three of the spider skins can be obtained in no other way, so those are unique just as much as Krush is (and nobody says HE'S just a re-skin!). We get what we want and then whine...seems common to the WoW community though.

TBH, I wouldn't want to tell Deth'tilac either! Scary spider...

So who wants to bet eventually blizzard gives us a shadowy loque after we beg for it for a year and then we will complain about it just being a loque reskin?

Quoted for truth! Like the Gondria alternate colors, rumor has it that Krush was also a lurking skin before resurfacing in Wrath, and yet no one raised a stink when he made it to live. Funny how it works that way, huh?
