I should really toss this terrible spider map I made earlier into this thread, where it won't be lost.



The exact spawn locations/paths/whatever aren't marked, since we don't really know what they are yet, but that's a general ballpark for people who are just looking to make sure they're in the correct part of the zone.

And can you imagine, if they manage to bring one down and only loot the Tear? All of that work and wall bashing for a measly 25g? Not even the people who Troll Hunters can justify the work effort!

Map fixed! Hopefully slightly more accurate/cleaner.

I'm very happy and excited that Blizz took the time to invent these taming tricks for the new tamable rares. Hats off to you for that.

However I am really disappointed that there isn't anything new here besides the taming. Gondira re-skins, Olm The Wise V3.0, and 5 spiders... Where's the verity? Where's the unique "wow ive never seen that creature before" factor.

I really hope that the Hunter community both thanks and gives Blizz some guff about this. They hit a home run with the taming but struck out when it comes to these skins.

The spirit cats are not re-skins, but alternate versions that were created at the same time as the skin used for Gondria. They were put into the game likely due to the desire of the hunter community to see them. Particle effects aside, Ban'thalos has a much softer look to his model than Olm, so I doubt that's just a 're-skin' either. Three of the spider skins can be obtained in no other way, so those are unique just as much as Krush is (and nobody says HE'S just a re-skin!). We get what we want and then whine...seems common to the WoW community though.

(Or maybe no one wants to tell Krush to his face that he's "only" a reskin.)

TBH, I wouldn't want to tell Deth'tilac either! Scary spider...

So who wants to bet eventually blizzard gives us a shadowy loque after we beg for it for a year and then we will complain about it just being a loque reskin?

Quoted for truth! Like the Gondria alternate colors, rumor has it that Krush was also a lurking skin before resurfacing in Wrath, and yet no one raised a stink when he made it to live. Funny how it works that way, huh?

Seriously. :/ The Firelands server has been going down so often today. D:

I wish they would do something so I can log back on my guy and get in there to check out these new tames... I am stuck somewhere in firelands and can't get past the load screen. I have tried to rename my character change his race, I tried to faction change but it seems I have too much gold to do that.

I absolutely love Deth'tilac and the new spirit beasts. All the spiders are gorgeous though. But I don't want to do what I did with Maddexx and collect them for the heck of it; too many pets already... @.@; I'm thinking I'll be going after Deth'tilac, Ankha and Ban'thalos myself...

Four recolored spiders and four reskinned spirit beasts? That's it? I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I was sort of hoping for a little more variety...

wait, 4 spirit beasts and 4 spiders? whats the 4th spirit beast? or do we not know..? i thought it was gonna be 3 spirits and 5 spiders, as someone somewhere had suggested i think
