Rhyela the horde zones are not icky not to me only icky zone i can think of is the plagelands and thats not horde O.o

It's sad, too, because in official art they're quite pretty. Their model could use an upgrade, though (as could a lot of the original races).

Just check Draenei then. I think they have fangs too. Not really sure tough. I lore they posess "demonic fangs", so it would seem that way.

And yes. Closeups of any old model are scary.

Hence why i don't play a male night elf there not pretty to look at XD

I LOVE the night elfs - I find males very attractive you give em the right face and WOW they look good. I love how they look in all armor and am a bit disappointed my female night elf dosent have upper fangs. As you pointed out they do have fangs but they are upper not lower - night elves are said to be descended from a race of "Dark Elves" its an exert from a WOW novel , they were oiginally based off of the drow in dungeons and dragons but unlike their counterparts they have a different set of idea's.(Off note - YAY DROW /swoon over Drizzt) Also keep in mind that vanilla WoW had almost no lore behind it hence the creation of the world they had a little look at what the titans and old gods were but back then they were more of a myth. The lore has changed and adapted to give it the story that blizzard wants it to have. The night elves changed from a darker form of themselves to what they are today. I love my alli's and wouldnt change em for the world My first character was a night elf druid so night elfs always hold a special place in my heart.. That and in Warcraft I was ALWAYS the night elves

Hey I didn't say that, my husband and brother do. To be quite honest though, I would say that the Horde questing areas are drab. Maybe not icky, but drab. Durotar = orange desert. Barrens = more orange desert (with a few oases, ok). Stonetalon Mtns = more orange mountainy stuff. Undead areas are all dead and gloomy, along with Ghostlands for the blood elves (though their starting zone is lovely). And I love love LOOOVE Mulgore, but you're soon in the Barrens. So yeah, up until about early-twenties it seems that all you see is orange deserty stuff. Mid-twenties and above is better though, since you start heading to Ashenvale and Hillsbrad.

Meh i play both sides and i don't find the ally side any more "nice to look at" imo

The thing is, I'm all into forests and stuff IRL so the night elf areas especially are to my liking. I do like Elwynn forest as well. Westfall is kind of crappy though, now that you mention it. Dead fields...lovely. But I know not every area in WoW can be all lush forests with bunnies and squirrels, because even that would get tiring.

That old Night Elf concept art is really interesting! I wonder what changed their minds into having them appear more gentle and civilized. Perhaps their immortality helped? I don't really mind the idea of Night Elves branching off from Trolls, I think it may be quite likely it's just that it's not truly known within the game or confirmed outside it. The male Night Elf teeth are really, really creepy... I think the bald head, face structure and pointed ears aren't helping and I'm getting a Nosferatu vibe.

While the family tree is nice it is not the only theory out there. Nobody knows for sure as said but it is also thought that they are descended from Elune - I prefir this theory though. Simply because Elune herself is a night elf and shes really really pretty

I HIGHLY doubt that since every account of her describes her nothing like that. But in the STRANGE and twistedly making no sense world of WoW IF they do that then I am petitioning for night elf paladins. That dosent make sense to me since thats E'lune not Elune and could just be a placeholder or something they do until they make her real model. However it just shows how naaru favor alliance At least we didnt kidnap one. (No offense but thats a bit of a no-no <.<)
