I tried taming the Oil-stained Wolf's in Northrend.. got a few friends to help but we couldnt get the timing right. If anyone would like to help me id love to return the favor

Finally got my Kung Din and Sha-Kitty!

We might've talked about this a lot already, but I'm not sure if it's been posted here -- might as well put it up since it's useful info. After a taming a pet, they will gain their health back to 100% IF they ding -- that is, if they are below your current level. Otherwise, they will stay at the percentage you tamed them at. Because of this, it would theoretically be easier to tame Kung Din, for instance, at level 84. If you got the tiger down to 5% health, then tamed him, it would stay at 5% health, making it much easier to one-shot. This also makes level 90 mobs a little easier to tame, like the scorpion or the crocolisk. Just a random thought that came to mind, thought I'd throw it out there.

Excellent point. This makes sense for why I could one-shot the scorpion no problem, but why I would need to put BW on for Kung Din.

Long time listener, first time call...... Oh! Uh.... yeah. I really love Petopia. Been using it for years now for the awesomeness that is huntering. I would like to give a big shout out and thank you to Alice, who seeing my noob post still decided to seek me out and assist me. Thanks to her I've been able to acquire some of these fierce new creatures of the wild! She was very patient with the mobs AND me for the few hours we spent working on the taming. To me, I was just like "Wow, you are the best! You go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to pet collecting!"
Alice, you are an awesome hunter and person. You made my first forum visit to Petopia a story I can remember forever
P.S. We got Alice a couple of the pets as well ;D

Yes, but the buff is fragile and will fade upon death.
