Honestly I think it's a mix of just general enthusiasm, new blood and actually sitting down and planning out a lot of who the antagonists were and what they wanted to do. I think it's also good timing that a lot of us have some time on our hands to spare too.
Will admit though, it has been really nice to dust off Venin and Asher though, and to see a good number of old faces that I remember fondly. And I've been excited to see the new faces spring up too; feels like we have a great, diverse group. Really want to see how this all goes.
((The pace is nice too. Maybe a little fast at times, but I've not had issues catching/keeping up.))

One thing that I love is the differences between the Unova branch of the Blessing and the Johto. Unova's been a lot more aggressive, not even really bothering to hide the fact that they're not exactly good guys. Not quite full-blown evil, but far from trying to woo over anyone. Over in Johto, however, things are a little bit more murky. Feels like there's a lot more Blessing there who just wanted to help out, or foolishly allowed themselves to be swept up by the propaganda. Kinda hope it keeps up that way myself. XD I think the contrast is very cool.

In related news I did come up with some ideas to ramp up the stakes and move the plot along a bit for both threads. mostly just waiting for things to reach a point where I can. That said, if anyone wants to volunteer a do an NPC, I can PM you what I'm thinking...

I just.. REALLY need to point out how hilarious of a difference there is between these two threads. Johto thread is getting all warm and mushy and it's all going well and the Blessing seem to be good guys, yadda yadda yadda..

And then there's the Unova thread, where the Blessing are far more obviously antagonistic, aaaaaand shit is getting real very very quickly.

This is hilarious and amazing and I love it.

It's quite amusing to myself as well. ALSO! How are you all liking the formatting of Vanilla's visions? I figured since they are very jarring for her the text in the roleplay would reflect that.

oh no part of me wants to do that but man I'm so clueless on which ideas I have that I'm actually going to follow through with. maybe next time, since I can't imagine this will be the last time she has a vision. XD

XD I'm very fond of using alternate formatting to create a sense of the unearthly and creepy. Anyone who remembers Insins can attest to that. It breaks the conventions of a normal post, allows other readers to know that there's something beyond our understanding happen.

Zalgo is a lot of fun too, although I do agree that it can be a little overdone. Perhaps a little here and there for some of the more insane moments, when a mind is a thin stretch away from snapping into little more than a gibbering mess.
