Shoveltusks would be awesome, I've wanted them tamable since WotLK. If we got them, they should really be in their own family however. And given some new skin colors to go with the existing ones :D

I am friggen hyperventilating over here... because STAGS. [flails] Just... STAGS.

I am definitely not opposed to Shoveltusks becoming tameable, also. I've always loved the massive antlers and tusks with their stocky bodies. I would not want to get trampled or gored by one of those things. >.>

Think we need a section on Petopia for all of the stags so we can start planning. :) I want to see all the pandaren stags. Heehee

right now if you go over to the "Wod new pet list" thread in the wod section you can find a list of most of the stag colors and models. none of them have been confirmed as tamable yet but Wain has the list all set up and will be ready to start checking things off once they can be tamed. I think right now its still missing the new talbuk models but its a good place to start.
(sadly one of my personal favorites, pandarenstagpurple, is the only one still MIA D:)

P.S has anyone ever done a skin/swap to see what the ashenvale stag colors would look like on the pandaren model? I would love to see an updated version of the ashenvale one someday >.<

I don't know if I should run away in fear or console it.

Any news yet on the stag party happening though title says confirmed I am still having some doubts due to Blizzard saying they are doing something then turn around cause the buck stopped there. I have my main hunter ready and am thinking now of boosting my tauren to 90 that way I have a Alliance and Horde both at 90 and able to tame them. There are so many I want to tame maybe making my tauren 90 will be good then she yes it is a female lol will be the stag and wolf only hunter. Please anyone who finds more out bout this let us know as soon as you can and thank you.

I was just wondering the same thing. I do recall seeing a few actual mobs in Vally of the four winds that sport the doe model.

I'd be surprised if does were. They're not only fragile-looking they have no antlers.

Don't tell that to this Doe*warning graphic*
But hmmm....if they don't add doe's could that be viewed as discrimination?

Also...Rawr, I am strong and powerful!!

I don't see us getting does, simply because they look like even one of those porcupines could deal some serious damage. My pets have to look like they can take some hits, thus I'll be taming a Pandarian stag.

At first I was like...aww. Look at that cute deer. Aww kitty back off kitty! Kitty no! Oh. Kitties okay now. Good deer, leave the...OH GOD DEER WHAT ARE YOU DOING OR GOD STAHP! STAHP! Evil doe. Poor dog wasn't doing anything.

It was a mother protecting her baby. She saw the dog as a threat, unlike the cat. Anyway, I agree with the notion that we probably won't be getting does. The majority of our pets have horns/claws/teeth/spikes/magic to deal some serious pain. Seagulls are more intimidating than a doe.

Nah I know. I don't see why the cat didn't get an ass whoopin' before the dog did. Then again, natural reflexes and instincts would say to go for the larger 'predator' in the current situation.

Back on topic, you're right. Even seagulls can cause damage, what with their beaks. Swoop down and nick your eyes. A doe though? [Heh, I'm a post and I didn't even know it ;) ] nah. They could trample you, but logic would say that the animal would have to be smaller than the attacking animal. A direhorn against a doe? We all know who would win. I do like the art for the diseased deer/doe/gazelle but I don't think it's happening. I'm content with stags. That brown Pandarian stag, that's quite bright compared to the darker brown ones of its counterparts? Mine. It's gorgeous.

If we can tame caterpillars, I think "does look too fragile" isn't really a valid argument. :p

Does are females, stags are male. Same species.

Realistically, the family really should be called Deer, as Stags are male deer.
